The only difference is that Lavar's kids were actually BALLERS. They were dominant in high school, did good in college/overseas, and were top picks in the draft (besides LiAngelo who ruined his career over some glasses) I hope the best for Bronny but yeah, Lavar had a reason to be talking as much as he did.

The only real difference is that Lavar's sons backed up their father's insistent mouth with their play on the court. Take Bronny's last name out the equation and look at his stats and see the proof. You do that with Lavar's kids and you could see 2/3 of them were nba ready.

Some idiot on twitter said bronny checking into the game with lebron was a top 5 moment in sports period. I dont even know if that will be a top 5 moment in lebrons career alone. Probably for lebron himself it will be but not from a objective fan. Its great for lebron he gets to play with his son but it just doesn't hit as hard when you know if bronny wasnt lebrons son he wouldn't be there. At least with lavars sons 2 out of 3 of them are genuinely good nba players but the lebron ans bronny thing is a bit forced. Still cool to see but i dont think its as insane as some people want to believe. The craziest part about it is that lebron is old enough and still good enough to have a son who is the age to where he can be in the nba with him. Thats kinda where it ends

I don't think LeBron expects Bronny to be an All-star. You can be better than the average player in the NBA and go 4-1-2 or shit like that. Remember each time is cycling through like 12-18 players at any time, because of this ~30% of NBA contract players don't actually play in games. As long as Bronny can be efficient, even in garbage time, as long as he can catch a lob from his boy, it would all be worth it.

No one told him to say that bronny is “better than some of these cats on league pass”. All he had to do was let bronny play and it would have worked out. I think the biggest difference between Lebron and Lavar in this case is that Lebron's push to get Bronny in the NBA was much more subtle than Lavar's. Lebron passively mentioned his aspiration to play with (or against) Bronny in the NBA when interviews asked him about what more he wanted to do especially after getting the 2020 championship and Finals MVP. So, in Lebron's case, it doesn't feel as vocal or annoying as Lavar's because Lavar said the craziest things on a weekly basis just to get attention for himself, his brand, and his sons. So, while the end goals for both of them were the same, the approach was just different.

@6:42 I respect bron jr. but Liangelo ball was/is better than bron jr fam he was doin his thing in the g league made the pistons injury stoped him from bein on the team then when melo got drafted they picked gelo up from the g league then for some reason put him back in the g league (don’t remember off top why) bro was/is signed in Mexico for hoopin they blackballed gelo for the 2017 incident that shid was dumb on his part obviously but let’s not take away that gelo was/is good enough to make/play basketball at the professional level

lebron just made his kid’s dream come true of being a nba player and millionaire from his contract how is that selfish? obviously he had his own reason for doing it too but i don’t think you can say it’s selfish of someone to make their kid an nba player especially with the health history bronny has where you never know how long you can hoop for

NO!!!!...... LeBron is worst than LaVar.......LaVar just over hyped his sons,. They had to prove it and earn being drafted!! LaBron took away a spot from a deserving player & force his son onto the league...... Undeserved!!

I'd pick gelo over Bronny but you're right that both fathers had similar dreams but what you're missing is that Bronny was given all the accolades he earned because of his father and his influence. You're also missing the fact that the way king 🧱 aka LeBron James did it was more egregious because LeBron forced his team to pick his son who's a flight risk in NBA standards and also doing it for show rather than Bronny's interests.

If all you had to do to keep one of the greatest of all time who brought you a championship to resign is gamble away a late 2nd round draft pick to make him happy, thats something every team in existence would do but your some how making it seem like poor Rob Pelinka was a victim when in reality he was happy to go along with it because they made history.

MJ literally owned an NBA team and still didn’t get his sons drafted and they were higher prospects than Bronny. The only problem is if Bronny actually wants this or is it just Lebrons dream
