@SWISHOUT Comment on SWISHOUT's Video: "This is Actually the Hardest Job in NBA History" As an avid basketball fan, I find the topic of LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, both intriguing and complex. Let's dive into the layers of this discussion. 1. Bronny James and Expectations: - It's undeniable that being LeBron James' son comes with immense pressure. The spotlight is always on Bronny, and every move he makes is scrutinized. Whether he's playing high school ball or participating in AAU tournaments, the expectations are sky-high. - The idea of Bronny attending a 4-year college at a mid-major is interesting. On one hand, it would allow him to develop his skills, gain experience, and be the focal point of a team. On the other hand, the allure of going straight to the NBA, following in his father's footsteps, is tempting. But is it fair to expect him to be NBA-ready right away? 2. LeBron's Influence and Selfishness: - LeBron James is arguably the greatest basketball player of his generation. His influence extends beyond the court. However, his involvement in Bronny's career raises questions. Is LeBron pushing his son too hard? Is he living vicariously through him? Or is he genuinely trying to guide Bronny's path? - The financial aspect is intriguing. LeBron's wealth shouldn't evoke sympathy for Bronny, but it does highlight the privilege and unique challenges he faces. Money can't shield him from the emotional toll of expectations. 3. Media and the LeBron Legacy: - The media plays a significant role in shaping narratives. Bronny's every move is dissected, analyzed, and sometimes blown out of proportion. The constant comparisons to his father can be suffocating. - LeBron's legacy looms large. Will Bronny be able to carve out his own identity? Or will he forever be LeBron's son, regardless of his achievements? 4. JJ Redick: From Player to Podcaster to Coach: - JJ Redick's transition from player to podcaster has been fascinating. His thoughtful questions and insights make him a valuable voice in basketball discussions. - Now, as he steps into the head-coaching role, the challenge is immense. Coaching isn't just about Xs and Os; it's about managing personalities, motivating players, and navigating the complexities of the NBA. 5. The Hardest Head-Coaching Job: - Coaching an NBA team is no walk in the park. The pressure, expectations, and scrutiny are relentless. Every decision is magnified. Redick's journey from player to coach will test his mettle. - Can he strike the right balance between authority and empathy? Can he handle superstar egos and locker room dynamics? Only time will tell. In the end, Bronny James faces a unique set of circumstances. While his father's legacy casts a long shadow, he must find his own path-one that balances ambition, development, and personal fulfillment. As for JJ Redick, let's hope he brings the same thoughtfulness from his podcast to the sidelines. Coaching might just be the hardest job in NBA history, but it's also one of the most rewarding-if done right. 🏀🔥

As football(soccer) fan that started playing and watching basketball later in life it's crazy how easy it is to become an NBA coach. You can basically be hired from the street. It's such a contrast to soccer where you need to study for a coaching license for at least a year. Plus there are multiple tiers of licenses and a team gets fined every time they are coached by someone without a license. I feel the NBA can benefit from some sort formal coaching education, because the amount of guys hired with little to no experience is mind boggling. I honestly don't know how NBA owners are comfortable letting these guys learn on the job.
@xaevius53193 ай бұрын
I think its fine the way it is now. While that soccer tidbit is cool i dont think the problem isnt because coaches dont have licenses its that the gms and front offices hire nobodies to begin with. As well as just recycling old failed coaches, theyre the ones picking their own demise. They wanna be bad? Thats their choice, just look at LA and whats happening there

i think bronny can be a 6th man of the year typa player. still incredible. he's a project typa player now franchise turning player. And i think the lakers are the best place for him because they wont chase for a chip because their roster sucks, and his dad and his unc AD with the team. defensively his really great, elite even. offense is something u can work. remember fultz yall. he was absolutly trash first couple of season but now in orlando he was pretty great. not like superstar but great. As long bronny is not lazy he can be anything.

I understand Darvin Ham got dealt a tough deal but we have to bring up the fact that he was actually a horrible coach. The lineups he used, the favoritism he showed to players that shouldn’t have been on the floor. Man really should’ve been gone and I don’t understand why they hired him.

Lebron is setting bronny up for failure it’s sad
@BlueGrovyle3 ай бұрын
What is "failure"? If what people have been saying is true, that Bronny isn't good enough even to be drafted with a second-round pick number that has produced maybe one notable player ever, is it more of a "failure" to be out of the league in a few years (absolute worst-case scenario now) or to have had the same name with a slim-to-none chance of making the league after 3-4 years in college? He at least gets to focus solely on basketball now and improve with the help of professional, NBA-level development trainers.

U can always tell when people are just talking and didn’t watch the lakers. For some reason y’all are so sure the ham was wrongfully fired but can’t give one reason why he should’ve stayed or why he was a good coach
@derrickwhite67953 ай бұрын
Ham should’ve been fired. But yall shouldn’t have had Ham in the first place. Yall should’ve never gotten rid of Vogel and never messed up the team that won that championship is his point. But for some reason LeBron’s teams are always making more and more changes to “get better” even when they’re doing good. That’s a bad habit.
@jourdanzero93123 ай бұрын
@@derrickwhite6795 So it’s bad for teams to still try and get better when they’re already good? Y’all added Jrue holiday and porzingis to a team that made the finals. The difference is that your gm actually knows what he’s doing. Also this is exactly what I’m talking about with non lakers fans talking about our team it’s always obvious y’all don’t know what happened and are speaking off media narratives. The fact that you’re blaming lebron tells me enough because half of the mistakes that pelinka made that got us here (caruso for example) had absolutely nothing to do with lebron and even were the exact opposite of what he wanted. People taking the blame off of pelinka is exactly what that mf wants and u all eat it up
@derrickwhite67952 ай бұрын
@@jourdanzero9312 first off you can’t even compare the move to get Jrue or Porzingis to getting Russ. The Lakers came off a championship and a season where their players got hurt due to them having to play in the bubble and decided to blow it up and get players that don’t fit. The Celtics came off back to back conference finals loses before they made a switch that made sense because they got players that fit. Also the Lakers decided to go for Russ when LeBron signed off on it. But even if you do want to say LeBron isn’t the main guy, then LeBron shouldn’t get no credit for bringing AD to LA. But I bet yall Lebron fans gone say till ya face turn blue that LeBron made the move to get AD. Stop saying LeBron is the reason for some moves then acting like he’s not for others. He has a whole track record of going over the GM. So if you want to ignore that record then you can, but I’m not delusional like you. It ain’t just narratives there’s stories from multiple people in the league from GMs to Owners to Coaches bruh.
@jourdanzero93122 ай бұрын
@@derrickwhite6795 first off im not comparing the two actual teams and their situations. i am comparing the fact that the celtics after being up 2-1 in the finals with that team still went out and were looking for more to make their team better. Brad stevens literally said right after yall won this year that hes already looking to improve the roster. thats what good gms do. also the celtics arent the only example there are plenty more for u to look up. they didnt "decide to blow it up" do you think that they went after russ because they thought it would make the team worse? no they obviously did it to try and make the team better and were wrong about it. going out and trying to improve your roster no matter how good you are is a good thing and every gm in the league does it so we can drop that point. secondly im not a lebron fan, im a laker fan. i support my team and players, but im very objective about lebron. when lebron does something bad i call it out and when he does something good i give praise. i dont give a shit about any of that lebron's legacy narrative shit on either side so just end that whole thing there. i dont care about lebron getting credit for ad or whatever bullshit ur saying. can u find me a team that doesn't get a signoff and consult their best players before making a trade? u cant because its literally happened on every team everywhere around the league for years but its only a problem when lebron does it. im asking you since you know that lebron is the evil mastermind, why is russ the only player that he was able to get? why is ty lue not our coach right now?, why is brook lopez not on the team despite being willing to take a paycut to stay?, why did max christie get a 2 year deal?, why is caruso not here?, why did we let mo bamba and malik beasley walk for nothing instead of using them for trades?, why does cam fucking reddish have a player option locking up our roster spots? is it lebron? obviously not. its the guy who has the final say and whose JOB it is to build the team. thats why i say its so obvious u all have no idea what ur talking about because u all just obsess over the russ trade like they do on tv when there are WAY more issues that led to where we are now that were caused BY PELINKA. if its not your team then just stfu and stop spreading narratives what youre doing is exactly what pelinka wants

David Blatt & Darvin Ham are good coaches. Their accomplishments during their time in LA & CLE prove that as FIRST TIME HEAD COACHES. Not everyone is Steve Kerr and LeQueen and his glazers fans need to understand this. They also need to understand that LeQueen CANT BE COACHED!!! Which is why he’s only wanting rookie head coaches in his time in LA. Can’t even hire a veteran one with a resume because LeQueen would try to out coach him smh 🤡🤣

Forget the fact that every good coach he’s had since 2010 he’s won with. David Blatt never coached again. Luke Walton got with the Kings, fired and never coached again. Darvin Ham immediately knew he wasn’t getting any offers and went back to an assistant. The other coaches whatever, you can lose your memory to time. But defending *DARVIN HAM????* Watch one Lakers game lmao I’m begging you. The night had Anthony Davis say he didn’t know what they were doing out there and he came back at him saying that wasn’t true. He’s the worst coach I’ve ever seen in my life.
