So when Dan Gilbert said he quit, it felt like he did. Wanted to give him some leeway over the Delonte West situation, but him teaming up with Wade and Bosh while also trying to get Melo is what made me conclude he isn't the all time great the media says he is. I switched over to following the NHL a lot more and can say a comparable to Lebron is Sidney Crosby, great player, generational talent, and multiple championships. The difference is Crosby had the reputation as a whiner and complainer early on in his career but matured as a leader. And I am a fan of a division rival. I think hockey doesn’t reward self promotion much because it is less popular and a salary cap league so winning without super teams is a big focus. What i find funny is these kids dont think we want to see someone come along and be better than Jordan. Who wouldn't want a new player to cone along and bring that excitement back to the league? Unfortunately, the league is filled with a bunch of social media divas, not one legit basketball player in the league right now. It's just an overglorified shooting practice now.

I'll admit it, I haven't cared for Lebron from day one. I tend to have a prove it and earn it mentality. I didn't like Kobe at first either, but after he earned it, I had nothing but respect for his game and what he did on the court. So when someone shows up and people immediately start promoting him as King James, he's gonna be the best, etc. (and him playing it up with his blatantly false modesty) it automatically rubs me the wrong way. Then, I began really disliking him because of his shit behavior and attitude.
@gregoriofracassi97769 ай бұрын
In the past years you can tell that literally EVERYTHING he publicly says is aimed to try to self promote and make a case for himself being the greatest player of all time. It's like he doesn't even remember that he's supposed to do that on the court, nor that it's not up to him to decide who is the best ever. He simply wants to feel victimized because people don't put him over Jordan. That's literally all he thinks about; the team he plays for and the careers of his teammates are a long gone thought. Just wants to add another uncontested rebound from a shot-clock 3 pointer to his little stat sheet, so he can then go in front of the media and say that the stats back him up. Just the stats he wants of course. Not championships, ppg, clutch plays, scoring titles, dpoy, MVPs, finals MVPs, playoff performances, steals, all the advanced metrics... not those, just the ones that make his case. Waht annoys me more than anything tbh is that he and his media are so persistent that, eventhough they haven't convinced anyone but some teenagers that he's the goat, they did manage to just have him nonchalantly pass up Kobe, not to mention all the other greats of the past. Who on earth decided that his 4 rings career, with inconsitent ploayoff performances and flopping around is worth the number 2 spot? Curry got 4 as well, I see that as a much more meaningful comparison. When has LeBron ever accomplished what Kobe did in 09 and 2010 considering the teammates he had?
@feynmanschwingere_mc22709 ай бұрын
LeMedia HATED Kobe because Kobe was EVERYTHING LeBalco was not: hard-working, BRUTALLY honest, SKILLED, never flopped, never travelled, didn't carry, didn't cheat the game. LeBalco is a function of MEDIA PROPAGANDA. Nothing more. Nobody with an IQ over 90 believes Lebron is better than Kobe or the GOAT. It's 16 year old kids who IDIOTICALLY think he is "tHe goAT" and even then most STILL say MJ hahaha. And globally? They all say Kobe is far better than LeBronze.

Hollywood does the same thing. "The smash hit blockbuster of the year critics are raving about" is typically said before the movie has been released for public viewing. They basically decide how people will feel before they've had a chance to assess the material and make their own judgements, and people will feel that way still even in the face of overwhelming evidence contrary to the narrative. We live in a world of lies.

The truth is Skip has been soft on LeBron ever since LeBron beat the thunder for his first ring. Before then Skip used to destroy LeBron. Ever since he won that first ring, all skip did was say LeBron isn't Jordan. Lebron fans are so obsessed that they took it as an insult. Skip used to call LeBron all sorts of names and point out his performances in the 4th q. He backed off tremendously the past ten years, not just 5.

@megavolt679 ай бұрын
It's true. I knew something was different when Skip agreed with Stephen A. that LOSING to the Warriors in 2015 actually ADDED to LeBron's legacy. He would still say that LeBron was up 2-1 and blew a chance to go up 3-1 in his own building, which is just the truth, but to even insinuate that losing makes one's legacy greater went to show that he was at least buying into SOME of the LeBron apologetics and goal post moving.

I had hoped LeBalco would be great and get me back into basketball. Jordan leaving the bulls the second time kind of made me lose interest. I’m a Celtics fan from Boston, but Jordan was something different, and I didn’t miss a Bulls game. The only time I didn’t want Chicago to win was against Boston. Shaq was so dominant it didn’t seem like there was much competition for him, and Kobe was pretty much a copy of MJ. So LeBron was the next hope for me, then he sold out HIS home team. The press conference joining Miami just made me shake my head. But him and D wade mocking Dirk being sick made me lose all respect for him, and losing to the Mavs the way they did showed he was not as great as he or Lemedia thinks. Everyone forgets the losses and just talks about the wins. And LeBalco fans only want to talk about Jordan’s losses early in his career, and forget his wins. LeBalco isn’t even top 10 in my opinion, 11th maybe possibly even 12th.

FACTS. LeBalco is 27th on my list. CRIMINALLY overrated.

The league suffered financially after Jordan left. Of course they had to try and manufacture another MJ. The only ones holding the league at the time were Kobe&Shaq, Dirk, and Duncan. But the league league lost viewership despite having lebron. He fell short of media predictions so now they have to cater to the young generation. A generation that is brainwashed to believe that the GOAT was proudly in their generation. They don't know who MJ is and what how he made the sport on a global scale.
@trowabarton3219 ай бұрын
Another HS player that excelled. Tyson Chandler. I was pissed when we traded him as a former Bull fan, and we signed Ben Wallace's corpse on there. I knew he was going to he good, and he ended up having a great career for himself. Became a part of the reason why 2011 Dallas won. Meanwhile the Bulls support mediocrity.
