I had my 2.0 for a year and didn't ride it. Got my wife a 3.0 and we rode a 100 miles in a week. They are a blast. Then mine started falling apart. Customer support covered my sprocket. These videos help me understand the glitches. But in all everything needs maintenance. Plus there Customer service. That itself makes lectric a brand to buy.

If you put 2 small philips, or allen wrenches, you can put one in each hole, and use a long screwdriver, put it between the alan wrenches and you can tighten or loosen the cap, without damaging your collar.

Hello Chris, thanks a lot for posting this video about the fork wobble. Mine has been rattling for a while and I have had no time to take it to the local bike shop. I work too much and he is on 'winter hours'. I fixed it in about 15 minutes with no swearing or skinned knuckles! I also mentioned to Lectric, just after I purchased it in May, that you are most informative channel for Lectric bikes and a great ambassador for the company. Thanks again and greetings from Leamington Ontario... David

Your videos are great, I have saved all your videos and subscribed to your channel. I had my Lectric XP 2.0 for about 6-7 months. I have now over 260 mils and replaced my brake pads by watching your brake video. Good Job. I am retired age 70 and live in Portland. This bike has been great to get my old bones back in shape. I feel much better now. Keep up the good work. When I come down to the Bend area I will try to look you up. I am in San Diego right now with my bike. It is very nice to ride heere it is in the 70's and sunny unlike Portland and cold. OK take care and keep the videos coming.😀

Thanks for these vids. I just got my XP 2.0 (still waiting on my wife's). On my first ride I noticed that the derailleur wouldnt shift above 4th gear. Searched youtube to figure out how to adjust and came across your channel. Now I've subscribed as I'm sure I will be referencing you often. BTW, that little 2mm "bolt" is called a "set screw". Keep up the great work!

Great video as usual. I just crossed a 100 miles on my 2.0 step. My initial experience was a flat rear tire. Got that replaced. (Lectric sent me a new tube quickly so I was able to get up and running). Then I had a heavy rattling sound from the steering head. Easy fix, just tightened the clamp. Checked all the nuts and bolts and found the hex bolt holding the rack and rear fender brace was only hand tight. Another easy fix. This is my second e-bike. I mainly bought it because after back surgery I couldn't get my leg over the seat of my KBO Breeze, hence a small tired step-through. No rattles now and it's actually got better hill climbing power and much more agile. I'm setting it up as my grocery getter. I have a milk crate rear with 2 sunlite collapsible wire baskets which can hold about 8 grocery bags, plus I'm adding the front rack today for even more. Best advice I have is check all your nuts and bolts before your first ride.

Chris wow we have 2 2.0s and 1 wobbles my friend andI thought that by tightening the the bolt on top of the handle bar, when you have them folded over might help. ( It didn't ) Great information we will be tightening the front fork before our next ride. Thanks...

Great video! I just suggested it on your post looking for ideas. I was really surprised to see this video this afternoon so soon. I must admit, I figured out adjusting mine last night because it was bugging the heck out of me. I just started taking things apart until I got to the last ring and tightened it. As always, thanks for all of your videos. I’ve learned so much about these bikes from your channel. I watched some other KZbinrs doing maintenance and yours are by far the best. You are very detailed and also have a good speed in your presentation.

Chris, your videos are so well done and enjoyable to watch. We have the new XP3.0 Step-Thru bikes but assume most of the 2.0 will apply to the 3.0? Question...I am having issues with my seat stem clamp staying tight when I ride. If I adjust the little finger nut tight enough to keep the seat stem in place when clamped, the torque required to close the clamp latch is was too much, and I fear I am going to snap it off. Any thoughts?

Excellent Chris, as usual. So what I thought was handle bar post and/or suspension fork rattling noise ending up being the battery rattling inside the frame, mine only as the other 2 xp 2.0s dont have this issue. I've heard of other riders putting tape on the battery to increase millage inside the battery compartment and it seems to solve the issue. You agree on this approach it do you have other ideas?

Good info, BUT.. You were having problems screwing in the philips screw, I dont like and I am sure there are others that dont like when a video is explaining things then have an issue they cut the camera and then show the problem fixed. So just FYI what did you do to fix the screwing in of that screw.
@PedalWithPower
@PedalWithPower 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that, I was just trying to keep the video moving along instead of watching me fumbling around tightening screws. It's hard to see what I'm doing in front of me while also looking at the camera view finder and trying not to get my hands in the way. I'm starting to get better at it. Just hold the latch with one hand and tighten the screw with the other and it's much easier.

Great work as usual Chris. Quick question for you my friend, after 100 mi on my XP I can tell some spokes are getting out of spec. I need to figure out how to adjust some spoke tension by sight and feel, as I only have a spoke wrench and no other gauge, etc. The wheels I believe are still true, just a tensioning issue I believe. I looked through your playlist but let me know if you've covered this topic before. Thanks man.

Hey fella, I have an ebike with the same stem mech and headset style as this lectric. I'm getting some creaking coming from the headset area (new bike less than a month old, have done 100 miles). The headset itself is very tight in place and nothing moving. Do you reckon the headset needs removing and greasing? I've not dealt with this type of bike before. Or do you reckon it's the bottom of the stem above the headset that needs lubing?

Is it difficult ti replace suspension fork?
@PedalWithPower
@PedalWithPower 2 жыл бұрын
If the replacement fork has been cut to exact same length, then the only part that would take a specific bike tool would be installing the crown race for the new fork. The crown race is a metal ring that is conical and it needs to be pressed onto the new fork using a cown race setting tool. This is what the lower bearings sit on and allow them to spin in the lower headset cup.

I have some knocking issues every time I go over a bump even a Crack on the pavement. I thought it was in the head of the bike but after the adjustments and maintenance of that area it still knocks .....is it possible the battery is knocking want are your thought have you had similar issues?
@PedalWithPower
@PedalWithPower 2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like it could be the battery rattling around. Try putting some stick on Velcro tabs on the end of your battery. Just use the fuzzy side of the Velcro, not the grabbing side. I'll add that to my next "tips" video. 👍

How many miles do you think you can get out of the Motor before replacement or repair ? If there were ever an issue does Lectric offer a replacement or a repair of the motor ?
@PedalWithPower
@PedalWithPower 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Motor miles will depend entirely on how gently you ride, how much weight you are riding with, how many hills you regularly climb and so on. If you take it easy, I may get up to 10,000 miles or more. If you rip around at full power all the time, you will burn through it far quicker. I think Lectric has replacements. They will usually send an entirely new back wheel.

I have the AiPAS A6, which is basically the same thing as the Lectric Xpedition. I have the death wobble from 8-12MPH. So that little dust-cap over the fork stem? That is actually what tightens the forks up. I could not believe it. There is no ring to tighten. Those caps can't be tightened too much, because the flower looking bolt will just pull up and out. What a terrible design. I have biked on and off for the last 40 years and never seen anything like this.
