It seems to me that these values are arbitrary for the time of day, time of the season etc. so these values will vary so how do you compensate for weather effecting the soil & calculating true empirical data? ⍴ changes with H2O content, so the values will change each time you make a measurement.

For this reason we typically perform resistance test on quarterly or half yearly basis to check the integrity of the system. And initially we take resistivity during harsh environment so that the design is done keeping the worst condition, if possible.

Sir,can you tell me which Book to follow for earthing and bonding that you are explaining... Your videos are so infomative,so I want to know which book you are following?
@railwayengineeringinsights64632 жыл бұрын
Many thanks. Actually, there is no particular book, I mainly refer to standards and use general physics, math, and undergrad concepts to derive the equations mentioned.

Sir what about 4 point Wernier method ?
@railwayengineeringinsights64632 жыл бұрын
Derivation remains the same for wenner. Rho = 2*pi*x*R. R is the resistance, Rho is resistivity, x is separation distance between the rods. Remaining test i will try to explain in next one

Will wait for that as I have some doubts while performing or witnessing the test. Thanks in advance🙏🏻
