Forgive the odd question, but what does he mean by "Book of illustrations"? Is it literal (illustrated art books), or something else?

It is a book of examples, not a real book. Like the illustration of, a country at battle is like the roaring of the lion. You get the picture of what's happening.

I have a book like it, it’s called 1010 illustrations, I think. It has over a thousand illustrations, for example, what is faith, and it will give you an illustration on what faith looks like
