Dynex LCD TV model no. DX-L32-10A. Power supply board, cold side. Out puts: 5v, 12v, 24v. good output, calls for 32v, no output. When plugged in red standby light is constant. Can you offer remedial. MJ in B'dos 🇧🇧 thks. PS. TV has a black screen, no sound.😊

Hi Jimmy, thanks for the great intro tutorial. I have a LG tv (42LM6700) and it's not turning on at all. I found that one transistor is burn. I was trying to find the same on internet but I just found similar ones but not exactly the same. The piece is the ST 13NM60N (GK023 V5 CHN 209) I've found in ebay a generic 13NM60N with no specifications and in the site lcd-chip I've found a very similar one, same brand but some details different (GK05V V6 CHN 001) you think that I can use that one or even the generic from ebay? I have a Samsung UN48J5200AF HDTV. When first turned on the right half of the screen is slightly darker than the left half. Gradually over time the right half gets progressively darker until is becomes basically black.

Hi, just ended up changing the LED strips I ordered from your website. There is improvement. The screen has lighted up, but there is a black patch in left upper corner that comes and goes at regular intervals. Close but no cigars. Have unplugged the TV, as it seems something else caused the strips to burn in the first place. It's a LG 47LN5750-UH. Thanks

Hello... informative vid. I have a Vizio E500i-b1 tv... been having issue occasionally on initial startup/turn on. When powered on would show Vizio label on screen briefly then go black. Wasn't doing all the time. Sometimes would be fine for awhile. But has recently gotten worse... will⁵ see Vizio name on screen briefly then goes black... now power light still comes on but don't see vizio name at startup n screen is just black. Main board issue? Or think maybe led driver or tcon board? Any input would be appreciated.

Great Video. I have a TCL 55S405TBBA that has audio but no back light. I can see the images on screen with flashlight. I think the LED driver or a LED strips may be the problem. If it was the strips would some of them come on and not the bad ones? The LED driver must built in to power supply or main board as i do not see one. What do you suggest? Thanks

Hey Jimmy Thanks I have a couple questions I have a Sony KDL-40w600B when turned on the indicator light flashes 6 times I looked it up and it is supposed to indicate that there is a problem with the LED I replaced the LEDs and still not fixed. The problem with my RCA combo DVD player 32LB30RQD that was not starting right away and sometimes took 10-15 minutes to start. I have checked and do not see any backlighting. Before these video's were available I thought it was the power supply board RE46HQ1502 and was happy to find you had a matching part which I purchased and installed. Unfortunately the problem still exists and do not know if you have any other ideas or if the replacement board could also be defective. I do get the red power light on and it turns blue by turning it on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi! I have an LG 50LN5100-UB TV. The TV has no picture, but has audio, and after watching your flashlight test video, I can see the image on the TV. According to that video, it would be our LED driver. However when I removed the back of the TV, I see a power supply, motherboard, and t-con board. Will I have to replace the LED strips? Or is the LED driver on the power supply?

Hey Jimmy, got a Vizio V705-H1 from a yard sale. Plugged it up and it powers on. Visually you can't see if the screen is cracked but it does have an Image of a wide paint brush stroke in the middle (about 10" wide & 5" down) and it has a little of the same about 2" tall on the bottom of the screen. The rest of the screen is dark. We haven't tried to attach any signal device yet. How would we determine if it's the TConn board or bad screen? I can send you photos if you need me to. Thanks

So i have a question, I have a Hisense 65H6E the TV will power on when either the power button or the remote activates it. The Hisense logo displays and then before the regular other starts ups begin... the screen goes black. the red light flashes when you press it and goes back to to solid when the start up fails. I tried replacing the T-Con board, the power board and the main board with what where supposed to be good parts?... same symptoms.. no image after the logo... just turns off. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have a ChangChong LED TV that I bought off of newegg couple of years ago. A couple months back I was experimenting with an antenna that you fastened to your window and in advertently cross threaded the connector on to the co-axle style antenna input. I’ve been foolishly tried to detach it are using some pliers that eventually destroyed the connector on the TV. I am not sure if it’s a coincidence, but about two weeks later I noticed my screen starting to fade out slowly until it was blank, any idea if this was related and what my problem might be? Is it worth repairing?

Hello i have a question about a Vizio V585 H11 repair I'm undertaking for a friend. Upon receiving this tv it did nothing so at that point I installed a new power supply, nope, not that. Installed a brainboard, now it boots but looks like the menu dashboard is messed up. ordered & installed the t-con board, nope same thing. Thanks sounds like my main board may be bad. TV turns on and off by itself, none of the HDMI works, and it doesn’t recognize the signal from cable box. What do you think. I did have the power board tested and upgraded with new parts. What do you think? Thanks so much

Hi ShopJimmy, I have a question about my LG 3D TV 42LW4500 with chassis LD01U. The TV won't start. It stays in standby and I measure the 3.3V on the standby pin. When I try to start it up, I see the led blink white twice, then red, after that nothing. Do you have suggestions? Most components on the powerboard seem ok, the rectifier, power transistors, diodes, elco's. What is the first suspect to look at on the main board?

The entire picture has a blue tint and also dim quality to it. I watched videos and the most thing I could find was that it is the backlights, but that seems a little strange because the tv wasnt that old when the problem started. Good day. I have an LG 65UF6450-UA tv. I have a snowy picture, but sound and all menu items work fine. Picture is the same regardless of which input is connected. Hello video seems really good. I'll be to watch more. I have a sharp Aquarius lc60eq10u. There was some green vertical lines on the left side at one point. It was under warranty thru best buy. They did replace the main board to. Did not fix it. Anyway, we just asked for our money back and kept the tv. It powers on, the back light does light, only when the 4 ribbon cables are disconnected from the t con board and tv panel. Any ideas? Thank you

I have a poloroid 49gsr4100km that will not come on. It has a standby light, when I press the power button the screen lights up for a brief second then shuts down. We have experienced many power outages and bumps the last one we had was about 2 months ago and after pressing the power button several thousand times it finally did fire on and all seemed well since then. I went outside to do some work and when I came back inside the tv was off and would not fire back on. Like I said the red standby light is on but never turns blue. Hey ShopJimmy! I've got a Panasonic TC-L55DT50 and last night I just got a 1-blink alert (TV shuts off and the red LED blinks once every 3 seconds). I've read it could be the LD board or the A board. I reboot the TV and it works for a few minutes, then repeats the same problem. I just shelled out $70 for a repairman to tell me what I already knew and didn't want to fix it. AWESOME! I have inherited a vizio model E701i-A3 that I am convinced I can get working however my symptoms are. No picture and it will not power on even after resetting the TVpower. I can unplug and then replug in connector going from my power board to main board and occasionally get a popping noise from speakers and sometimes get screen to flash but that is all. Flashlight test failed to see backlight and other than popping noise when unplugging and replugging in connector as mentioned above no sound either. What do you suggest the problem is?

It has two green boards across from each other and a LED converter I think with silver cover and main board . 4 boards on tv. Does this sound like the LED converter? LG 60UJ6300. Screen went very dim (not blank) and will not brighten back up with any amount of settings combinations or changes. Replaced TCon Board and Power Supply and it brightened back up and worked properly for about a month then went dim again. Power cord is good. Not sure what else it could be.

Hello, great video but did not quite identify my problem. I have a Visio M65-EO 2017 model. The tv's white led power light in the lower left corner comes on and remains on as soon as I plug the power cored in. I can not turn it off with the power button of the remote. There is no picture or sound, it is a complete black screen. I tried all the reset methods but nothing works . I also tried the flashlight method and there is no picture in the background. Initially the picture came on but the remote would not function. I powered it down and turned it back on and that is when I got the black screen with the power light on. would really appreciate your help. Thanks

Jimmy I have a 55'' Samsung TV model # UN55EH6000F there is a red light that surrounds the power button that's stays on but the TV will not turn on at first I would unplug the TV wait 15 to 20 minutes then the TV would turn on but now even that stop working if you had to take your best guess would it be the power supply or the main board.

Hello. I have a Vizio P602ui-B3. It takes about 7 or 8 attemps to turn it on. The front LED on indicator turns on and then off twice and then it just doesn't work. After some attemps, it works fine. The Stand by 12 Volts and Stand by 3.3 volts are present all the time. There voltage T_CON_ON is 0 after I turn on the TV for about 3 seconds and then some times it goes to 3.3 Volts for 4 seconds or so and then dies. When it suscesfully turns on, the T_COM_ON is a good 3.3 and the T_CON voltage is a solid 12 volts. I check the power supply board and main board on both sides for obvious bad parts but I don't see anything bad. I don't know how to make sure wich board is bad.

Hi I have a LG LED TV that quite working right after a lightning strike close to our home. When I turn on my TV the red light at the bottom middle of my TV blinks twice but the screen stays black. a minute later the red light blinks twice again and keeps repeating this same sequence until I unplug the TV from the wall outlet. I took the back cover off and could not see visable damage. Based on your video does it sound like the main board could be bad? I have a LG LED TV model number 60LN5400-UA.

Hi, Toshiba 40LV665DB will not power on until the inverter board (INV40N14B) is disconnected from the PSU board, do you think the inverter boards faulty?

Hi I have rca model # rlc2626 and the tv is not powering up when plugged into wall outlet. Wall outlet does have power. I have the back off tv and have 122 volts to both sides of the fuse. The red led power bulb is not lighting up either. Could you please give me some information as to what may be going on thanks.

My LG 65UF8500 is pixelating badly. About every 10 seconds picture goes haywire for a bit, picture all garbled, then picture is OK again for another 10 seconds. I already replaced the main board 9 months ago. I seem to recall similar issues back when in failed before, until the picture eventually went off all together. Do you think it is the main board again, or could it be the power board or the other one, I forget what that one is called.

Hi my Panasonic TV model number is: TC65CX400U. I have a black shadow going across my screen vertically at the exact center of my screen. I took the TV a part however beyond this point I am not sure what is wrong with the TV. Thank you for your help.

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-60r550a with a 3/16" horizontal line across the lower part of the screen. The line is there on all inputs. It is black across 2/3rds of the screen and then barely visible for the rest of the way across the screen. In the black part of the line there is some red color that shows up every now and then as the motion on the screen changes. The black has slowly moved farther across the screen with time. Bad panel?

Rock solid info video , well done. Question : My bad tv is a Toshiba 52XV645U, with flickering and vertical lines on the left side, often goes away, worse when first turned on, independent of video input, audio is fine. T-com or main??

Hello shop jimmy, thanks to Tampatec I'm trying to fix my 50in Samsung, power board over heated & melted board. the power board is a bn44-00856a. it melted at cnl802 where the power cord goes to i think back lighting. what i want to know is there a diff power board i can use or need to use the same board. also it melted the power cord so i need to find a new power cord. this is a un50j5200afxza. any help to get parts would be great. mark

Hey I have a Samsung 55inch led model #un55h6300af. I have no backlight and no sound tv looks dead there is no power. Had a guy come from a local repair shop to check it out and he said the power board is fine but the tcon board is burned out. He gave me an estimate of 350$ for him to repair almost the price of getting a new tv. I decided to look up prices for t-con boards which I discovered only cost about 35$. So I've decided that I'm gonna try to fix it myself. What are your thoughts on wether I should replace tcon or just go get a new tv?

Lg 47ln5400 no picture, did the flashlight test and can see the menu screen. The back lights flash when the tv is turned on and then stay off. Please help.

samsung j6201 thought the psb was bad replaced it and nothing but when i unhooked the cable to the screen the other boards lit up fine so i think its the led strips thoughts??

We own a toshiba regza 55sv670u and we turned it on and the image is ghosting vertically someone suggested unplugging the one side of the t-con board tape cables and the result was that the left side plugged right side unpugged made 1/2 of the screen work correctly. Do you have any suggestions? Would the t con board be bad?

I have a Sharp LED Model No. LC-50LB371U. The screen has gone back on it. The sound still works. at first it would be just a little darker at the top, but then that would clear up. but the entire screen just black out. you can still barely see some of the apps that are on it but that's it. I would really like to know if there is a part I could get to fix this myself? Thanks for any help.
