Dazed and Confused is probably the heaviest song ever to be released in 1969. I wouldn't consider it Heavy Metal but it certainly laid the ground work for "Heavy" and Aggressive music to come afterwards. The entire solo starts with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant riffing off each other in a slow built, until it reaches the climax of the main solo that I reproduced here. This is also the first song to introduce Jimmy's Violin Bow playing.

Where on god’s earth did you get that tone from? And why don’t any modern rock bands, 55 years after this was recorded, bother to recreate some of this 60s/70s rock god power? I’m a millennial but man, it doesn’t get much better than this for dark, devil summoning rock music. Watching this vid reminded what a genius solo it is.

what are you using for the tone amp? what tone bender? clone or real deal? if clone, what?

Hey Kyce I usually use software emulations for these videos. I find it much easier and faster to tweak the sounds after I've recorded them. For this solo I used a basic Amplitude setting with a Tube Screamer. And then I ran it through and EMT140 Reverb emulator. I always toggle back and forth between my mix and the original so I can try and copy it as closely as possible.

I've not seen TAB since Windows 99. Your hand is in the correct places on the fret board. But do it without the actual audio track. Love that you're doing it a Fender. But it was a telecaster not a strat
