You nailed in when you said you don’t know what’s going on. The song Led you down the path of being dazed and confused about a turbulent relationship. The middle instrumental part emotionally creates that state and the up tempo ending you can hear Plant’s torment as he sing yells out in the background state he’s so confused and then mystified. The talent of these 4 coming together at such a young age and producing music such a powerful sound that jelled is amazing. As Page stated from the beginning the talent level was so high that they could play together spontaneously and intuitively and create endless music as a group. No one holding them back to a particular monotonous sound. As great as AC/DC sounds unique they basically sound the same. Supposedly someone commented that they made 10 albums that sounded the same and a member light heartedly said no we made 11 albums that sound the same.

And I got to see them just a few weeks later sitting on the floor ten feet back from the stage, at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago, on their first American tour, along with Jethro Tull. And they played Dazed, a longer version with lots of Page with his violin bow on that guitar. So long ago but I still remember that show. Which was $5. 😎

Dazed and Confused, the 1993 film by Richard Linklater, perfectly captured what it was like being a high school student in the mid 1970s. Stoners, jocks, cheerleaders, and the newspaper geeks (that was me), awesome soundtrack, the cars, the clothes. It’s set on the last day of school in 1976, Austin, TX, but it could easily have been my high school in Florida. Ironically, there are no Led Zeppelin songs, because Robert Plant didn’t agree to give permission.

Words can’t even describe most Zeppelin songs.. and why try to..it’s like candy for the ears... the audio versions are great but you must pull up the videos on your own as well to get the full effect and true experience of the songs and showmanship of Led Zep! It still makes me sad that Bonzo passed way too young on my birthday 40 years ago which btw is Sept 25, Friday..29 years young for the many of times, so I never got to see them live.. I’ve seen Plant and Page many times in different collaborations, but what I wouldn’t have done to see them all together! I recommend seeing the Film The Song Remains The Same and doing that song of the same name for a reaction.. it really gives a good leaning as to where their head space was at back in the day! A lovely gift from you would be a Big Log Robert Plant Birthday reaction.. 🎂🎤🎸🎉🎂 Normally I would have asked for Bowie, as he is my number one musician, but I know that eventually you will get to more Bowie soon, not sure you will get to Robert Plant solo music 🌱 as soon! Thanks either way Jovaughn for always making the music fun again! It has been a sad year since January your positivity and willingness to be open minded make it better!😊😍😊
