Welcome to Rock Artist Reaction Day - Sunday!! Artist Name: Led Zeppelin Country - London, United Kingdom Genres: Rock and Roll / Hard Rock / Blues Rock / Classic Rock Years Active - 1968 - 1980 Listening to Led Zeppelin is like opening the book of rock that I have kept inside a locker for many many years. There has to be some magic in their songs which makes them so special even after 50 years. Blues rock surely can take anyone into a peaceful and relaxing state of mind. All I can say is that the legacy of Led Zeppelin will continue for centuries to come. Legends !! @@AddieReacts Hello. It's "Mam". ;) If you'd like to do a deep dive, I recommend starting with the first album and going all the way through to the last so you can learn how they progressed through the years as a band and as musicians. So many excellent songs on all those albums, but many often do not get recommended. Real gems mixed in there. Live is great but, sadly, there's not a lot of video with audio, more just audio. That, and Page was a genius in the studio, as was John Paul Jones, and that shouldn't be ignored. When people say live is the best way to experience this band, I have to disagree for that reason, and because when they performed live, they loved to improvise, rarely playing a song the same way twice. To understand just how incredible that could be, one has to first know the song in its original form or they won't know what's happening. So live is, of course, fabulous, but to skip studio versions is to get only half the "picture". JMHO Anyway, thanks again for an excellent reaction! I so enjoy when reactors take this band seriously. :)

@@AddieReacts Well, as live performances go, they had been touring for six months straight before this performance. September 1968 in Scandinavia, returned and recorded album 1 (in 36 hours). Then left on a UK Tour October-December 1968, then flew to North America to tour December 1968-February 1969, then back to UK and Scandinavia to tour March-April 1969. Sadly, there's not a lot of footage that includes video available of those early live performances, but there is some with just audio, mostly bootlegged.

Hi Sir Anthony, Wow !! Exploring India back in the 1980s, is something that I even have no idea but definitely things have drastically changed now. But having said that, I am a solo traveler and Photographer myself, so it feels great to connect with someone like you. I am currently based in the Northern part of India, near the capital city. Thanks for stopping by sir Antony. 🙂

Almost as if they’d committed to practice this well because they couldn’t afford an Evantide. It didn’t exist then of course but is a great lesson of what good players can count on for audio quality and subtlety that practice can yield. The violin bow is just shtick but nearly every band had something. That same Telecaster’s in a museum now. I think it might actually be in someplace near the Washington DC area. The audience were already very familiar with great stuff. This wasn’t even close to what they’d already had witnessed from bands I don’t need to mention. It’s not like they didn’t have Max Roach or Elvin Jones records. It’s not like some of them didn’t already know of Grady Martin or even Ernie Shelton etc. People generally weren’t naive either musically or culturally. May seem like that I assure it wasn’t.

Thank you for your comment sir. I get you. Well my observation was not to compare Led Zeppelin with any other renowned artists of that era. I am sure the audience weren't naive and hence they were in a Led Zeppelin concert. But I am sure, if they sit down and watch themselves on youtube in 2023 after all these years, they will surely feel nostalgic. I have even seen Sigur Ros (band from Iceland) using a violin bow instead of a guitar pick. I am Just trying to understand the music of that era. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Have a great day. 🙂🤘

To my knowledge, no, Jimmy's dragon Tele is not in a museum; perhaps you're thinking about the short term NYC Met exhibition called "Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll" where it had been displayed along with some of some of his other guitars and stage outfits. Jimmy wasn't the first to use a violin bow on the guitar, however, through regular use in concert, he created some very avant-garde, explorational improvisations that elevate it's use above "schtick". I'm not saying the audience in this clip were unfamiliar with great music, however, I feel your comment is an attempt to be dismissive of Zep as "Meh, nothing new". Their first rehearsal was in August of 1968 and their first album was released in January of 69 (March/69 in the UK), To merge and coalesce 4 diverse musical skill sets in such a short amount of time meant their skills were (self evidently from this clip) top notch and your comment an oversimplification of their entry into music and the impact they made throughout their career.

Agreed. Nothing about your video which is excellent, sought any opinion such as mine. IMO this video reflects the kind of producer who's been making high quality stuff for some time which my comment did not mention. So, instead of a more careful listen (I started writing before the video ended) I wrote in a reactionary way about something the video was not talking about. Thanks for taking the time to write so thoughtfully and without a strictly defensive posture. You didn't dress me down. @@AddieReacts

There's a few reasons that bands have a harder time making it these days. The primary reason is they can't earn a living from it because people put it on KZbin. So ironically what you do contributes to their failure.
@AddieReacts
@AddieReacts 8 ай бұрын
Hi Sir Scott, I respect your opinion but I would beg to differ a little bit. 🙂 I was able to spread some bands from South Asia to audience in different countries. The reason why I say that is because many bands responded to me back as they started getting more subs and comments on their videos. I have personally seen comments referring to my channel's name on their videos many times. 80% of the bands that I have reacted to so far, the rest of the world aren't even aware of anyway. I usually don't play the songs of new bands in full stretch and I break them into 2/3 parts, so that the original full length official video stays with the original author. Plus, I share each and every social media handle including Bandcamp (if available) of these new bands on the description and pinned comment so that it's easy for anyone to access the band material easily. And lastly, I am personally buying CDs and merch of local bands since I was a teenager and keep sharing stories on my community to remind everyone. I am not sure what other reactors are up to but my sincere approach is to promote local artists/Bands from countries like Afghanistan, India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Burma, Nepal Bangladesh, etc. who really don't get the promotion they should. I understand we have different opinions but I just wanted everyone to know this. Thanks for watching and your comment sir. 🙂🙏🤘
