Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

@@joshuavargas9668 Interesting Joshua I must have watched this video dozens of times over the years however I never really thought about what you just said how is he possibly doing that? The only possible way that it could be done was that one of the keyboards was set up the sound like a bass guitar. Definitely did not record it before the concert and I can't imagine somebody would be standing in the Wings playing the bass.

Not only was I at this exact show on 7/28/73 but would see Pink Floyd's "In the Flesh" tour at the Spectrum sitting in row # 6 on 6/29/77. PS: Would see Zep x 3 more: 2/3/75, 2/8/75 in 5th row center on 2/8/75 @ the Spectrum and 6/7/77 @ MSG!! Add the WHO to the mix and my x 4 shows in two years, two at the Spectrum ('73 & '75 in Row # 2) & two @ MSG on 6/10 & 6/14 (GREATEST CONCERT of them all) in '1974!! Be SAFE GUSTAV!!

@@daxvid1713 I was lucky to get the OK to start my concert journey while a JR in HS @ 16. My 1st on 4/21/73 (Procol Harum in NYC). Also lucky to have Zeppelin tour in '73 and I won my 7/28/73 tix via a mail - in Lottery. Still only 16 and that was my 9th show overall. So my favorite is my 1st one on 7/28 @ MSG. Saw again on 2/3/75 @ MSG and my 5th row center show on 2/8/75 @ the Spectrum. PS: I was also very lucky to see the BEST live band of my life-time in '73 (my 12th show), The WHO w/ Keith Moon on 12/4/73 @ the Spectrum. That was # 1 of x 4 in a two year period, ending w/a 2nd row show on 12/15/75 @ the Spectrum. My last w/ Keith in the band!!

This level of writing, and playing is far beyond what most human beings can emotionally deal with ! The keys are haunting, the drums are fat and with confidence, Roberts melody is out of this world ! The guitar is equally haunting, sounds like its having a nervous breakdown in a good way. to me..... this is utter perfection period.

Welcome Maya. The best "hard-rock" band, the founders of metal, but none of those labels matter. As Plant once said: "People no longer come to our shows to jump up and down and yell, they come to see the changes." That is the magic of their music. Well not only that, there are so many aspects of it. Learn to enjoy it all with time. Maybe consider smoking a good amount of marijuana and then listening to it - AFTER you already know them well.

What an amazing history these 4 extremely talented individual artists have made. All 4 musicians, each perfecting their skills and bringing them together as one, to do what they love best in life and that is to play music. and share it with the world !! I grew up with Zep from the start of there career. Thank You for all the years of composure. Your music will survive with each new generation in years to come. Never stop Rockin.

I seen them in February! They were really good. They played this song right after the acoustic set I believe and I remember that the stage looked exactly how it looks in this video. Smoke licking up at their feet with blue light shining down. Really cool tribute band.

Why hasn't the Uk produced a super group of Zeps calibre since the bands demise. Nothing really has come out of this country to compare with Led Zeppelin. Heavy Rock, Heavy Metal or what ever musical genre you want to place them into, the heavy Drum roll of Black Dog, or sublime guitar riffs of Stairway to Heaven have never been bettered.

+dajuan williams Think about stolen. Think about, and research the artists that claim the credit - and what their inspiration was. The blues of Chicago and the deep south was riddled with covers and unknown legendary blues artists "borrowing" or flat out re-releasing tunes without credit. That does not make it right or wrong, it is a sharing and an interpreting of ideas. Where Led Zeppelin were found to have breached copyright, they payed royalties because they did not give the credit due. Some of those cases were ridiculous. The originals were basic chord progressions that are foundation blues staples. Others are themselves stolen. Did Zeppelin really try to steal EXACTLY what others had done? Or did they take great ideas and songs, and interpret them in their own way?

From John Paul Jones' mind one of their greatest masterpieces ever along with Kashmir,Achilles' Last Stand and Stairway to heaven...all the other songs are great but these 4,in my opinion, are Zeppelin's real gems. The intro, the atmosphere, the way of singing, etc.everything is epic is in this song.AMAZING.

Tis called Prog/Psychedelic . It's one of their few Prog Rock/Psychedelic, they're not the only one making something like this in the 70's believe me, Zep isn't even known for this type of music cause they only made a few of these. Try Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush or Crimson King. And also the 70's was the best time for music like this, so I don't know why you said that.

They weren't Swept Away by the commercialism of music. They wrote and played their music on their terms. They were highly influenced by the great Blues Legends of the United States. You see, God converged 4 incredible talents into 1 epic band. They gelled, they were close friends, and they lived and breathed their music. Sure, drugs were involved but that didn't make them great. It was their god-given talents.

@@haisamrahman7870 man there will never be another like zep. They came in on fire with their first album and kept it rolling with absolute hits for more than a decade. Greeta has a few good ones but they dont have masterpieces like zepplins first couple of albums. They still have time to prove themselves but compared to both bands beginnings, Zepplin is and always will be on another level👌🙏
