Personally, you couldn't get two more different personalities, Bonham was the type of guy that didn't care for interviews(Top Gear interview in particular) and all that, if someone pissed him off enough they probably deserved it, he was a quiet guy for the most part, loved hot rods and his family but the life of being a rock god is a high that's hard to come down from, when not on tour a lot look for that stage rush high then the after parties, but never find it. Moon the Loon on the other hand, the party never ends and he was always trying to be the center of attention, and with the his legendary stories, it's hard to believe a lot of them, but so many others were around to verify them, if you've looked up his young life to his passing he definitely earned the nickname, both are legends, and rightfully so. It's sad that so many great talents have left early in their lives, but hey, if there's an afterlife there has to be a lot of new kickass bands and tunes there to rock out on.
@good-bye_blue_skyАй бұрын
Ironically, it was Moon who was the inspiration for the name Led Zeppelin, After hearing that Page & Jeff Beck were putting together a band he jokingly said that would "go down like a lead balloon"

Bonham was an extremely thoughtful drummer, most intelligent. Most say he hit the drums hard. He just knew How to hit them. He could hear himself objectively. You always knew it was he on the drums because he knew them so well. He was the main reason for the huge Zep sound. No other drummer could produce such an energetic sound.

He sounds like a top bloke! Must have had shit loads of lawyers to get him out of those violent situations. Maybe if he had found some peace in his mind instead of destroying himself. Question , can you separate the art from the artists personal life? No. Yes he was an excellent drummer, but a very flawed human and he caused much chaos and destruction to others. Just like Keith Moon. This is my opinion and as an art critic, I have a right to express this view.
@abidababida7096Ай бұрын
He knew Robert Plant and played in a band with him before Zeppelin. Page’s first choice for drummer was some other guy but Plant convinced him to go hear Bonzo. Page immediately wanted him but Bonzo almost declined cause he was finally in a band making some money. Once again Plant to the rescue and he joined.

Ancient information that has been trod upon many times over the last 40+ years, milked here and presented poorly in an attempt3 to emphasize behaviors that were not uncommon - and even generally accepted in he industry - during rock's infant years of 1967 - 1973. This is not an excuse for anything anybody may have done, just a statement of the overall attitudes of the people of the era in that industry.
