First time I've heard of your channel & I'm glad I had a look. Couldn't have a better start. Bon Scott is the true 'legend' & 'lifeblood' of Australian Rock 'n' Roll 'Royalty'. He's greatly missed here Down Under in the 'lucky country', though his spirit is so strong I'm certain he still struts his stuff every time AC-DC plays to this day. So many great memories & great music. He will always be loved by all, as he lives on in us all. R.I.P. Bon. 'Rock In Peace'.

I’m SO sick of people comparing Linkin Park with AC/DC. There was a 7-year gap between Chester Bennington’s death & them rolling out a new singer (& drummer). And Linkin Park was wildly successful with Chester. AC/DC released “Back In Black” just 5 MONTHS after Bon died, garnering their very first #1 hit & elevating their place in rock history. They didn’t replace their drummer till 3 albums later. Bon Scott was an exceptional frontman who never got to see AC/DC reach their full potential. Chester was a tormented soul for whom success could not heal his wounds. There was never a question that AC/DC would continue without Bon. They weren’t there yet, & they weren’t SO iconic at that point that fans could not IMAGINE them with another singer. NOT the same scenario AT ALL! I prefer Bon over Brian, but Brian did a great job filling big shoes, & added something new & special to the band’s sound. Respect to them both! Emily Armstrong is a great singer, but also a slap in the face to the memory of Chester, an outspoken advocate for mental health who lost his battle with it. Emily’s belief system says mental health is not a thing at all. 🙄

I stopped after Back in Black, a few good songs on the album but lots of polly filler. They really missed Scott's song writing and couldn't replace that. For me the best album was Powerage. Not one duff song on that album. HTH was a good album and you can here Lange's influence on the production. I liked the more 12 bar blues rock sound of Powerage than that power rock sound on HTH.

I grew up in Fremantle Western Australia, Bon's buried at the Fremantle cemetery. We used to often go and hang out at his grave and have a beer in his honour. AC/DC had a very distinctive sound. They aren't the same band with Brian Johnson, there was something about the original line up and sound. The original sound was very Australian hard rock. You would have to be an Aussie to know what I mean. No disrespect to Brian but the sound really was quite different if you go back and listen to especially the last three albums with Bon.

Alastair Kinnear, Bon's friend, was pretty wasted himself. Don't know how he was able to even drive, but according to him, Bon was to heavy to carry up the stairs to his ( Kinnears) apartment. Especially since Kinnear also was drunk. He called Bon's ex Silver for advice. She said that it was best to just let him sleep it off, since this had happened before many times. Kinnear got a blanket out for Bon and then he left him. Kinnear didn't put Bon in the car. After the party, he was going to drive Bon home and at that time, Bon was awake enough to get in the car, but he soon passed out when they drove off. Kinnear then decided to drive to his own apartment, to try and get Bon inside, but as I already said he didn't succeed.

Bon's favorite drink was Jack Daniels. When he passed out and was put in the back of his friends car, his head got cricked up at the back side to fit him in. When the friend arrived in South London, he couldn't move him by himself so Bon was left in the car to sleep it off. Unfortunately Bon vomited and because he could not move his head, aspirated the vomit and suffocated. That is how he died.

So no one else is going to address the fact that everything the title and big fat thumbnail on this video talks about is only covered from 17:33 to 18:06...and nothing new to learn. Waste of fkn time, unless you know nothing about early acdc... then ya skip this.

You make it seem like Bon Scott was only on two records. Im a huge ac/ dc fan and although back in black was a good record ac/ dc died with Bon, they soon became just another commercial ban.

I've never understood the thinking that it had to be something "harder" that must've killed Scott. Alcohol can definitely kill you if you overwhelm your body with it.

It sounds like he should have been medicated but not with what he ingested. He had multiple opportunities to get clean after major screw ups but apparently couldn't take the hints. I feel sorry for his family but not for him. He was old enough to know better.

There is a video with audio of a friend if Bon, Silver Smith. She was living in the same block of flats that Bon lived in. She said both her parent's worked in the health system in London. They had access to the section of the hospital that Bon was sent to for autopsy. Before anyone else could examine him, she asked her parent's to take a look. She wanted to know herself so she could make sure that the bloke who went to the pub with Bon the night before would not be accused of any wrongdoing. They were all friends at the time. Anyway, her parent's used the X-ray in the mortuary of the hospital, & determined that Bon had actually suffered from massive organ failure. They believed that he had developed a condition that brought about premature aging of his organs. They were like that of a man in his 60's. I believe this is a more likely cause myself. All that hard living for the 15-20 years beforehand may be why this occurred. Rock In Peace Bon. Forever Malcolm Young. Long Live AC/ DC.

@pinpointism how dare you say I'm disrespectful! I love Accadacca & Bon! You are a troll spoiling for an argument! I posted the interview, which somehow has been removed. The interview is online if you care to look. I'm just sick of dumbarses who don't care to do the most basic amount of research.

Fair point. To us, Bon Scott was more than just an average frontman-he brought a unique charisma and energy to AC/DC that's hard to match. His personality and style were a big part of what made him memorable.

Saw AC/DC twice in 1978 at the Liverpool Empire. They were superb ! Saw them again in November 1979 at the Empire. Bon wasn’t the same man. Don’t know what he was on, but he was different and not for the better.
