I’m SO sick of people comparing Linkin Park with AC/DC. There was a 7-year gap between Chester Bennington’s death & them rolling out a new singer (& drummer). And Linkin Park was wildly successful with Chester. AC/DC released “Back In Black” just 5 MONTHS after Bon died, garnering their very first #1 hit & elevating their place in rock history. They didn’t replace their drummer till 3 albums later. Bon Scott was an exceptional frontman who never got to see AC/DC reach their full potential. Chester was a tormented soul for whom success could not heal his wounds. There was never a question that AC/DC would continue without Bon. They weren’t there yet, & they weren’t SO iconic at that point that fans could not IMAGINE them with another singer. NOT the same scenario AT ALL! I prefer Bon over Brian, but Brian did a great job filling big shoes, & added something new & special to the band’s sound. Respect to them both! Emily Armstrong is a great singer, but also a slap in the face to the memory of Chester, an outspoken advocate for mental health who lost his battle with it. Emily’s belief system says mental health is not a thing at all. 🙄

I grew up in Fremantle Western Australia, Bon's buried at the Fremantle cemetery. We used to often go and hang out at his grave and have a beer in his honour. AC/DC had a very distinctive sound. They aren't the same band with Brian Johnson, there was something about the original line up and sound. The original sound was very Australian hard rock. You would have to be an Aussie to know what I mean. No disrespect to Brian but the sound really was quite different if you go back and listen to especially the last three albums with Bon.

Alastair Kinnear, Bon's friend, was pretty wasted himself. Don't know how he was able to even drive, but according to him, Bon was to heavy to carry up the stairs to his ( Kinnears) apartment. Especially since Kinnear also was drunk. He called Bon's ex Silver for advice. She said that it was best to just let him sleep it off, since this had happened before many times. Kinnear got a blanket out for Bon and then he left him. Kinnear didn't put Bon in the car. After the party, he was going to drive Bon home and at that time, Bon was awake enough to get in the car, but he soon passed out when they drove off. Kinnear then decided to drive to his own apartment, to try and get Bon inside, but as I already said he didn't succeed.

There is a video with audio of a friend if Bon, Silver Smith. She was living in the same block of flats that Bon lived in. She said both her parent's worked in the health system in London. They had access to the section of the hospital that Bon was sent to for autopsy. Before anyone else could examine him, she asked her parent's to take a look. She wanted to know herself so she could make sure that the bloke who went to the pub with Bon the night before would not be accused of any wrongdoing. They were all friends at the time. Anyway, her parent's used the X-ray in the mortuary of the hospital, & determined that Bon had actually suffered from massive organ failure. They believed that he had developed a condition that brought about premature aging of his organs. They were like that of a man in his 60's. I believe this is a more likely cause myself. All that hard living for the 15-20 years beforehand may be why this occurred. Rock In Peace Bon. Forever Malcolm Young. Long Live AC/ DC.

Are there any Videos of the early "glam" AC/DC?... The Young brothers decided early to move away from the Glam image, as i understand it. He sure were part of both the cool side & the flipside of the glam coin...

I don't get it, both releases were called High Voltage ? So the first one didn't do well in the US, then they released a second collection of different songs under the same name ?!?
