This whole album was an amazing work of art. Casual Zeppelin fans don't get the acoustics and the softer sense of them. Real Zep fans appreciate all of it.

Dominicka just gave the definition of what is meant by "The Greatest Band EVER" It's a band that have excellent music to fit every mood of a human being in all occassions. Led Zeppelin is that band!!!!
@sicotshit70684 күн бұрын
Yes they are that band, sadly for the most part, only a handful of songs played on the radio. Maybe once in awhile, you’d hear other songs by them. Some of their most beautiful masterpieces, & different songs people missed out on. I’m so glad that more people are learning just how great they are, especially those who dive deeper. As always thank you, you beautiful couple, you are so cute together.

Glad you enjoyed my pick! What’s not to like right? Here you get a taste of country and with Jimmy doing some pedal steel guitar as well. And then that majestic solo in the middle! And something about the way Zepplin mixed acoustic with the drums, it made it very uniquely their own feel and sound. And of course, Roberts vocals and Jones solid foundation on the bass. I’m not so sure Andre’s humming along with the song fit quite well though lol… Thanks for the reaction!

Pretty much everyone had a record player by the time Led Zep came out in 1969. They ranged in price from a cheap portable with a built in speaker to a hi-fi set that came in a big console where you added a receiver and large speakers which my parents had. But teens in the 50's and 60's lived by their portable box players they could bring with them, and carried mostly 45's around to parties and friends houses. Cassette tapes were already around by 1966.

I love Zeppelin in this style! Kinda reminds me of the Stones. That beautiful mixture of slightly off key harmonies and the 12 string sitting around the campfire feel. This proves that Zeppelin can make gold out of dust, and do it better than anyone else!❤❤

To me led Zeppelin started a new way of approaching music and creativity much as The Beatles did in the early '60s.... Of course there were a lot of super groups at that time but I think led Zeppelin brought in that metal sound.... What set them apart was that they could be very melodic and melancholy... One of my favorite songs by them is the rain song and Kashmir also

So you're 70 years old and you never heard Led Zeppelin's third album!?? Or perhaps you are one of those that didn't enjoy the second side of this album because it was acoustic!??😮
@mikemiller30694 күн бұрын
You were mostly right about having to wait for your favorite song(s) to play on the radio, but I think most people had tape decks, at least in the 70s. I played in cover bands from the late 70s through the late 90s. The most effort I went through to record a song was when I was in college. I made a long distance call from a pay phone to a radio station in Minneapolis to request a song that we wanted to learn. The DJ agreed to announce the request before he played it so I could hit the "record" button in time to capture the song. It worked!

Trying to do some house decorating/painting! I've retreated down the garden for a beer and a smoke! , so lovely to hear some acoustic 'Zep ' from my teenage years mid 70s, it still sounds wonderful! This track, along with all the tracks on side 2 of Led Zeppelin III, are very high up in my personal favorite sides of an album especially by Led Zeppelin!!! The song before this one on the album, "Gallows Pole" another acoustic number, but a little more faster Paced than this song!! The song that follows this one on side two is another beautiful acoustic masterpiece called "That's the Way"! A lot of people looked negatively upon the third Led Zeppelin album because it ventured in a different direction than what we were used to from the first two albums from this group!! A lot of people were turned off by the mostly acoustic side 2 of this album!! I am old enough to have been alive when these albums were first released and I can remember waiting patiently for this third album to drop!! My way of listening to music, besides the radio in those days, was a cassette tape deck and of course headphones!!!❤ And I personally instantly fell in love with this album especially side 2!! I loved songs like this one!!❤

Back in the day you wouldn't have heard this song on the radio. Zeppelin III was hated by the critics and was considered a flop because people were expecting music like Whole Lotta Love. Zeppelin III is one of their finest moments but the beauty went over the heads of so many people.
@kurtsaxton8234 күн бұрын
Maybe where you live but I lived in Ventura California, Kmet Los Angeles played it quite often. That's where I first heard it. Back then if the DJs liked it it got played.
@philsmith24444 күн бұрын
@@kurtsaxton823Yep, corporate radio hadn’t gotten its money-grubbing fingers on everything then. Even as few as 25 years ago there was a local small independent station I listened to with a 4000-song library, and each DJ had a daily show during their shift in which they could play anything. Eventually, however, they sold to one of the big conglomerates and had their library cut down to 500 songs. The DJs’ shows didn’t last very long, either. No wonder people pay for ad-free streaming, it may be just as corporate but at least you can hear everything you like and nothing you don’t.

It’s the official Zeppelin video. Not fan video. For better or worse that’s how they do them.
@L.A554 күн бұрын
@EdA1 Fair enough..1. It's worse, imo..2.Youre not completely accurate..If you check the official posting, it says "Official Audio".. So whomever placed the awful flash photos with the "audio" could've done better..at least slow it down to match the song.. I'd rather stare at the LZ III album cover than those strobe light photos..
@EdA14 күн бұрын
@ my point was that this is not a fan created video. It’s an official release by zeppelin and all of their official audio releases have a montage of visuals like this although they’re all unique to the song. That was my only point. Yes, I’d rather stare at the album cover like I’ve been doing since 1972 as well!
