Close games I knew fatality would be tough. Roy vs Falcon are very momentum based matches I feel. I'm really surprised at how well Hyper did against wrath though. Sonic is a hard character to fight.

That commentator was really good. Not player-1 specifically, not that he isn't good with commentary (if that's him) but the other guy. Whatever his name is -- get him on mic more if at all possible.

iamdefinetelynotray player-1 is the one doing most of the talking. Fanttum adds a little in, but doesn't have a lot of analysis going on. for what it's worth I feel like player-1 has some really good insight.

Great set, very close. Hyper could benefit from adding B-Reverses and wavebounces to his repertoire (Flare Blade or DED) for more aerial movement/mindgame/mixup control (and resetting neutral when being attacked or juggled from below), but overall he has a really good Roy.

As a Roy main the only major problem I can say Hyper does is he does not make use of his tilts, like at all. You're main tools for damage and punishes with Roy are your jab, tilts and double edge dance... but not only double edge dance and especially not fair and nair on shield while landing. Not discrediting him by any means, he's very good from these few matches I've seen, just he really NEEDS to make use of his tilts and jab. Especially at 9:15, that would have netted an easy kill with f-tilt right there with the way fatality came in (granted he could have killed him with just about anything there, but everyone has their moments).

ZEROthefirst You don't want to use tilts in nuetral that often, especially against characters like Falcon. Too much endlag and its pretty much a free punish that could end your stock. You want to keep moving, poking here and there and get the most out of them. Tilts give Falcon too much breathing room.

I'm saying more for punishes, not just throwing them out, and regardless they have less endlag then if you were to do double edge dance, and it's an actual disjointed hitbox when using your tilts. Double Edge Dance and dancing blade for Marth/Lucina are intangible objects that don't collide with anything and lose out to a lot so they're not that safe, especially against someone else with a disjoint since their attack will win the exchange. I'm not saying don't use Double Edge Dance for punishing, I'm just saying it's not the best option and especially the only option to continually use for punishing with Roy since his tilts like f-tilt and d-tilt are genuinely faster not start up wise compared to side b since they're slower by 1-2 frames, but they have less end lag and have more shield stun than side b so if they're shielding you have an actual option to keep them out a bit better and help with avoiding punishes since obviously of the swordmen in the game, Roy's the most unsafe with his attacks.
