Maximous Prime I think movement wise and overall character understanding Hyper has the edge, what I will say is Ryo is more consistent with first hit of nair into other moves.

Jewlz Cartagena I think Hyper uses smash stick which makes it harder to get nair combos then attack stick.

Comment from the future: This is so wild to watch. The game seems to move through molasses. Still fun to watch and, as a Captain main, it’s so fun to see all the old techs being used that I forgot about. Foot stool combos are kind of a thing of the past in Ultimate. Seeing everyone gasp at what would be no big deals now is very entertaining. In the end the game feels so dated compared to now. I can’t believe I sunk years into this game. I love it!

Hyper killed himself too many times. I don't believe Fatality did at all.

Hyper needs to work on his recovery... a lot of stocks Were gone cause of that, he plays really good but the way he "recovers" its pretty amateur

agreed but roy does kinda need an up b buff to recover imo

The only thing Roy can do is a high recovery to challenge opponents, but if that fails you're super screwed. Best to play it safe and just go to ledge. On the ground Roy gets super armor on up-b, but not in the air. It's also kinda hard to make Roy go straight up without accidentally reversing the up-b because you have to hold in the opposite direction to go up. Recovering horizontally Roy has more range anyway because he's got one of the highest horizontal air speeds in the game.
