I can relate. Ma boi Greninja's edgeguarding tools are so good I just can't resist going in and firing a random special to either push them too far to recover with Up-B or Neutral-B or just blow them to smithereens on the spot with Side-B and Down-B.
@The1uptriforce4 жыл бұрын
Love getting those with Mario 💪 immediately go for the grab and throw into a spike it never gets old that punch of his is so satisfying to land
@joanaguayoplanell49124 жыл бұрын
@Hawking Chair And when you main someone like Falco, Cp. Falcon, Mario, or mai boi Greninja, going for the spike (or semi spike, your preference) is beyond mandatory in our eyes. When there is someone offstage, we get an inexorable killer instinct. We just KNOW how and when to time it to intercept their recovery, and send them to the pits of hell.

If youre playing quickplay with a character with a counter, sit at getup attack range and dont shield. Just counter. Works every time (until it doesnt).
@thoet72705 жыл бұрын
Something I do often with Lucina is running towards the ledge and baiting a roll (or attack, but mostly rolls). Before they actually start the animation I step back and charge F-smash. Works wonders on people who are stressed. Also, because her f-smash hits behind the ledge, I sometimes just stay still and move moments before the invincibility wares off and strike.

A thing to note is that there are certain moves that cover getups better than others a little thing i like to do as little mac is to start charging neutral-b at the ledge when the opponent grabs it it can cover: •Get-up attack:almost all of them do less than 8%,so mac can just armor through most of them and hit •get-up roll:little mac can just reverse neutral-b And catch it even if you didn’t expect it •jump get up:Little mac can easily catch ledge jump by shield-cancelling neutral-b then immediately using up-b Oos since it has so much vertical range and is so fast(frame 3) •Ledge stall: he can shield-cancel neutral-b into down-smash once invincibility ends •Neutral get-up:he can shield-cancel neutral-b into down-tilt>aerial side-b or f-tilt since both are safe And sometimes he can cover ledge falling if the oponent doesn’t have any move that passes through macs armor; Also,all of these kill :)

Bowsers fire breath is always good for extra dmg on your opponents way to the stage. Fair stuffs jump attacks and kills ay high %. If you try to guard low and they jump over you, utilt them out of the air. Utilt also kills at high %
@panther12475 жыл бұрын
iLoveBac0n Great tips as a bowser pickpocket but one thing i want to criticize is that his fire breath has a lot of lag afterwards. It isnt worth it because opponents still have invicible frames when they get to the ledge. It leaves you wide open for a get up attack but its great for pressure if their Up b isnt instant (i.e. Lucina and marth’s up b, palutena)

@lasatar64285 жыл бұрын
When ledge trapping, I might dashdance around the general vicinity of the ledge and wait for them to try an option. If they do a regular getup or a roll, dash attack or dash grab can usually punish. If they jump, a shorthop Nair or Fair might get them. Usually I'll just jump offstage and try to gimp them tho.

About the Rolling thing: Yes there is Science to back this up. Vermanubis talked about this in his video about reacting.
@blopblep11795 жыл бұрын
I don't play Greninja but I've watched quite a bit so I'll speculate OoS options on reaction from ledge: (not an ideal position) Neutral: Grab, possibly DTilt. Roll: Grab, DTilt, Dash. (NB remember what Banana said about rolling) Jump: Nair, Uair, USmash, UpB if you like cheese Attack: Grab, DTilt, maybe even UTilt or a raw smash if you're fast enough or parry and they're slow enough DDJ (drop, double jump): Ftilt, Fair, parry into Utilt/Usmash/an aerial or run to catch their landing and grab/dtilt Hang: IDK, perhaps Dtilt will catch them. OoS options from between ledge and roll spot: (much better position) Neutral: Grab, Dtilt, Ftilt is probably too slow. Honestly not a whole lot Greninja can do. Roll: Grab, Dtilt, buffered Nair/Bair maybe Jump: Any aerial, USmash, UB if you like cheese Attack: see above DDJ: see above Hang: see above Option Selects, Baits, and More: -From ledge, FT backwards then charge pivot DSmash to cover neutral, roll, and maybe attack if you're spaced properly and they do not have a disjoint. -TH will probably bait a ground option instantly. -BFHFF aerial can cover jump but will be pretty late to other options except slow attacks. -Run off Bair can cover anything but roll if you time it right. -I don't know intimately how WS works, but if you IR to any option and you're spaced properly a FC might hit them except probably roll. Sorry i couldn't be of more help. Definitely check out some top level players who know what they're doing. Greninja players in the comments feel free to correct me.
