If he was alive to see how broken his family is, he would be most disheartened ! ! Some of these were the results of his past actions. Getting rid of the jury based system was incredibly short-sighted. In the end his youngest son and his wife have gone into exile and his grandson feel safer in US than in Singapore. I tried to be very fair in my assessment of LKY. Maybe we could understand the draconian measures he had to undertake in the years after independence. Later on, he should have reintroduced back the jury based system and gave the media more freedom. But he failed to do this. Now his youngest and family have exiled themselves overseas and his grandson felt safer in US than in Singapore. This is his legacy.
