I have the old Powertech version at my home. I love it. I get a great quad pump everytime. When I use it, I go to the bottom (full range of motion) and I don't use the handles (keep my hands up). This puts maximum stress on the quads, and I don't need to use much weight, and I hit failure everytime. I use the handles when I can't do anymore, but want to get a couple of burning reps. At the bottom, you can still get out from under the leg press with no risk of injury. I do leg extenstions/curls before using this, and I use this leg press before doing squats (which I need little weight because legs are thrashed). I highly recommend this leg press.
