The legendary Dave Grusin is one of my all-time musicians and composers! The incredible Lee Ritenour is one of my all-time favorite guitarists and the amazing Melvin Lee Davis is one of the most skilled bassists on the planet and one of my major influences!!! As expected, Wesley is an excellent drummer!

You just gotta love Dave Grusin. He was was 83 when this was taped. He has been around forever, he's done it all, and he still loves to play with Lee. They have always had a very special relationship going way back to the 70's. I've been a fan of both since then. It's so nice to see them still making magic together, along with Lee's son, and that guy on the bass aint too bad either!

7 string for what ? He's better than M.Miller or jaco ?
@luiselguera7056 Жыл бұрын
Don't confuse bass with lead. He es covering different functions in the band. His bass interaction with the rest of the players is mild to poor. Go to Ron Carter to decide how many strings are good enough.

Well he plays fairly enough for his dad to make him part of his family band, travel and work together, so its a treat for Lee to have him. at his age, I am sure he just wants to have the son around him...makes life sweeter at that stage in life.

Sounds like he needed more warmups. He was tempo search syncing in the first couple of songs. Then he found his groove.
