Great to see it running and oil pressure sorted. Re map sensor it should be reading 0 when not running not atmospheric pressure

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure , so it will read atmospheric ( 1 Bar / 14..7 psi) . MGP = Manifold Gauge Pressure will read 0 with the engine off 👍

Look at your screen when its running. Its reading 5psi at idle. Should be vacume. Map position will be miles off

@@geofffletcher5739 You're getting the acronyms mixed up Geoff. MAP Sensor = manifold AIR pressure sensor . MAP gauge in the link software = Manifold ABSOLUTE pressure gauge - they are 2 different things . For the Manifold Absolute Pressure gauge in the link software - 0 is full vacuum (no air whatsoever, ie in space). At sea level, that's 14.7psi . To get the same values as a 'boost' gauge the link software uses ' Manifold Gauge Pressure (MGP) ' This is where 0 is the current pressure wherever you are, positive is anything above this (boost) , negative is anything below this (vacuum) . There's not a problem, it's just a different scale :)

LOL 😆 , the phone camera does make it sound much worse than it actually is , and it took a while at the start for the cam followers to fill up and quieten down . But now it's got decent oil pressure, the followers are full and 20w/50 oil in the sump it's dramatically better 👍

Good to here that it was Barum that built your engine and with the issue with your pressure relief valve, Lee sorted it out for you. Welcome along & Thank you ! I know what you mean about the haters - I've had to fend them off myself. What many folk don't realise is that quite a few of the 'Big Names' in the YB world actually use Barum Engines for their machining work (liner fitting , long studding etc) . I just cut out the middle man and saved on the 'Cosworth Tax' . I'm happy with my choices - and that's all that matters :-)

Crickey Lee, 80psi? I thought 45-50psi was considered good! ( will you leave the relief valve at that setting and is there any downside to such a high pressure?) 🤔

It settles down to 40-50psi at idle when the engines up to temp. After running in , I'll change to a lower viscosity synthetic oil and the cold oil pressures won't be so extreme. Lots of YB race motors run these uprated relief springs. A potential downside to high oil pressure is increased risk of leaks , but I've had none 👍

I can only speak as I find - BHP supplied the Link ECU kit and a bunch of other stuff . Everything I've had off them has been of superb quality and their aftersales support has been brilliant 👌
