Lee's YB Powered Mk1 Escort - Walk around Part 3 - It's finally off to paint!

Hi , this is the final walkaround video of my Cosworth YB Powered Mk1 Escort . With the dry build covered in Parts 1 & 2 , this video covers the bare shell before it gets shipped off for some much needed colour and specifically , the work I've carried out on the underside whilst the car had been on the spit.

Sorry Lee.....i just wondered if you could tell me what red oxide paint you used.....i dont have a ford...i wish..what ive got is a reliant kitten...trying my best with not a lot to slowly get it back on the road....im cleaning up the frame and wanted to red oxide it afterwards...many thanks in advance,steve

Hi Steve , it's Novol anti corrosion primer for classic cars . Its fantastic stuff - my shell had just 2 coats of this over bare metal and it stayed like this for nearly 6 years as I did the build with no surface rust 👍

There was a fair bit of work to be completed underbonnet and also on the underside (trans , prop and exhaust tunnels etc) that I could only complete whilst the car was on a spit . This video covers that 👍.
