I know many say this is written completely from Yuu's PoV and the ending is from Mika, but I also think it makes FAR more sense the way you just wrote it up! I think there might be a few mistakes in the lyrics of this version, though... for example, I'm pretty sure the original version says "the fallen angels you run with don't know" instead of "the fallen angels arrive" and a few other things.

to be honest i think the op is yuu singing, mostly because of the part "don't take all the weight, you always do" . Because all this time when they're still young mika sacrifices his blood for ferid and took all the weight/problems for himself. I think I realized something about the lyrics.. I think this song is interpreting the tragic story of Yuu and Mikaela.. The second verse is the only one caught me first. The verse "I don't know if I have lost you yet" is from Yuu believing that Mika is dead and would do anything avenge his family. But he doesn't know that Mikaela is actually alive as a vampire. The other one "do they control you like a marionette?" Is from Mika wondering if Yuu is being Manipulated by the Moon demon company.

Prorogon - Lord of the Jags "I don't want nobody to get killed" is ... a double negative. Double negatives are kinda frowned upon in English, and as an almost English major myself, even just typing it out is cringe-worthy haha. What's really being said there is "I want everyone to get killed" and I don't think the Japanese writers realized this (since it doesn't fit with the rest of the song), which is also one of the reasons I changed it, other than it being a really awkwardly written line. Hope you enjoyed it other than that though~! :)

I'll admit I kept seeing this vid pop up in my recommendations and avoided it because I had that elitist attitude that it can't be as good as the original. That, and I've had pretty negative experiences with people covering anime OPs. All those wondering about whether or not LeeandLie will do any further Sword Art Online songs the answer is no. She previously said she was not feeling them (Which is perfectly understandable) however that only applies to the ones currently out. Im sure when season 3 comes out, which it will, she will take a stride again towards the SAO world. One more note, season 2 of Owari No Seraph comes out October this year so do not fret that its all over!

Most of the "engrish" was descriptive things ment to give emotional impact/paint a scene rather than make direct sence. A really serious example, original lyrics "No signs, no lights, such a mess all over" pains a picture of entering your house with no sights of life, all the lights out, and blood and debree everywhere. It doesn't *directly* say this, but its what is implied, given what the song is an opening for. The replacement "No light in sight, its a world of chaos" is just compleatly abstract and leaves no emotional impact. Annie Nguyen Yes, I am caught up on the manga, the scene in the anime where he fights the entire demon company is probably the only time he's ever been badass. I'm not necessarily saying that there's anything wrong with trying to save yuu from the humans because he's his family but he takes it so far to the point where he's just an annoying character in my opinion

I couldn't agree more, with the symbolic lyrics in the original, and I'd normally prefer that they sing the original lyrics, but this one by Amalee is different somehow. For some reason, maybe because of the instrumental it sounds pretty great. Nothing will surpass the original, of course, but I like how she did this one for whatever reason
