I think a huge factor in the continued success of these bikes is the aftermarket community. My Harley 48 has a massive aftermarket and every bike looks different. Rykers have that same spirit but we need more options other than what Can Am and one or two other businesses offer.

I recently bought a lightly used ‘21 Ryker Rally. I had sold my Harley Ultra Classic due to shoulder issues (3 failed surgeries on my right and a more recent surgery on my left). But I became concerned about even slightly having to muscle the 940 or 960lbs (😊I forget the exact weight) that the HD weighed in at with my limited strength in both shoulders. The Ryker Rally has been such an amazing, fun, and thrilling experience to ride. I do wish there were more aftermarket options though. Don’t get me wrong there are sites out there (SlingMods) but bring a well balanced checkbook with you, lol. Truthfully there are numerous things to ‘trick’ out a Ryker to make it your own. While I loved riding my Harley, I now find riding my Can Am to be so much more enjoyable. Just the piece of mind knowing that at stop signs or lights that if there is a rut right where I’ve stopped there’s no chance of an embarrassing tip over. I highly recommend these machines for those with similar issues as mine or those wanting the wind in their face without having the fear of being an inexperienced rider. Please however, if you’re new to riding or have limited riding experience, find a class and go. Even with the Ryker’s, having three wheels allows for a brand new rider the chance to almost immediately go out on the road, you can still get yourself into trouble if your basic knowledge of riding is limited. A lot of new rider accidents aren’t right away after purchasing - it’s maybe a couple weeks or a month or so later when that rider now feels overly confident and over drives their machine. Anyways, this is my two cents about the Ryker. Have fun out there and ride safe.

I just bought a Ryker for our son who had a stroke four years ago and can no longer work a clutch or shifter of a regular morotcycle I drove it home 100 miles in the rain at night and 52 degrees (f). It was a blast to ride, but I thought the brakes were the weakest I've ever experienced on any motorcycle and I've owned many since began ridine in 1964. I hope they will wear in and do better after a few hundred more miles. The air filter you showed on the right side is for the transmission, not the engine. The engine air filter is on the left side. The funnel is not for station fill ups, but if you run out of gas and need to pure gas from a fuel can. This makes it much easier.

Would you say the rally is more go go go compared to the relaxed 600? I recently took the 3-wheel course at msf and learned on a 600 - loved it. Coming from a 2 wheel honda navi and honestly i love the can-am more. It’s a night and day diff compared to a motorcycle. So much safer and more enjoyable. Good points on the clearance factor though. I didn’t know that about the rally. I’m b/t deciding if i should go for a Ryker 600 which i feel is plenty enough power for me or a rally. I don’t need any of the extra stuff it comes with but i do like being higher and the comfort seat, not to mention being able to add storage w/ that max mount. Won’t be off-roading. The thing is, i found a used 2019 rally that has the accessories i want, vs a new 2021 Ryker 600. They’re both great prices but idk which to choose. I think i need to test ride the rally just to help make the decision.

Great entry level trike and more versatile than any 2 wheeler. If you know how to brace using a stiff arm method you will be able to corner as fast as any 2 wheeler. I don't own one myself rather I design and build reverse trikes. I also own 2 wheelers and the RT is much better
@leeridefar3 жыл бұрын
It’s Impossible to corner as fast as a two wheeler. Physics won’t allow it. The inside wheel cannot stay on the ground under hard cornering, even with trail braking. The rear tire will break loose. After taking them to a track with motorcycles. It was really obvious they can’t compare. I couldn’t get close to my lap times at Area 27. They’re great machines but not so much in hard cornering.

I'm seriously considering trading in my Spyder RTS and going Ryker. Main reason is that they just look so much easier to work on, and I like to work on my own bikes. It literally takes and hour and a half to get to the lightbulbs on the RTS and requires removing 5 body panels. The can-am dealer here charges $150 in labor, (plus $75 for the oil and filter), for an oil change because of all the tupperware that has to come off. Ugh. That's really my only complaint about the RTS. How is the 600 for 2up riding?
@leeridefar5 жыл бұрын
The Ryker is a simpler machine and much more accessible. You’ll be able to work on it much easier. As for two up, it won’t be as good but if you just do short trips, it’s fine.

Here in Quebec my local dealer told me to forget the Ryker (600, 900 or rally) for a 2up drive unless it's to go around the corner to eat an ice cream or a hot-dog with a light weight passenger. The Ryker is not for 2 riders. And that's from the local BRP Can-Am dealer.

If we like it, maybe it will go to my wife if she would like to drive. Although she was nervous ridding my Moms 50cc mope head a few years ago. Time will tell. We use to ride my Valkyrie thousands of miles every summer and she loved to be a ridder. I would be very easy with her on the back so not to scare her. Her 1st husband would like to scare her as a joke ( bad joke ). She hated when he would pop wheelies!!! I don’t blame her so I would drive like a pussycat! Only burnouts and aggressive turns by myself. LOL!!! I have been ridding since I was a little kid, hell my 1st bike was a chushman scooter that was bigger than I was! LOL!!!

Wish they made a turbo for the 600 or someone come out with a new ecu or something where the 600 could have sport mode...

I just tried one, I did not like the lack of power steering, seat is a bit slippery, needs more grip. I find the seat height too low in traffic.

Thanks for the video. 1) Does the Ryker generate a lot of heat on your legs? 2) Would you recommend a Ryker 900 or Spyder F3-S overall and for 2-up?
@leeridefar5 жыл бұрын
No, the Ryker runs cool. For 2up definitely the Spyder.
@d.knight60085 жыл бұрын
I had the Ryker Rally and traded it in for the Spyder F3-S. The main reason was for 2-Up rides, longer trips and a cruise control. The Rally is A LOT of fun to hit the local streets around town with, highway is fine and it has PLENTY of power and speed. The Spyder is a whole different machine. I don't regret the trade nor do I have any negative to say about the Ryker. If 2-Up is a major priority, definitely go with the Spyder.

@@d.knight6008 I'm looking to purchase the Spyder. With your experience, why did you go with the F3-S and not the RT? I am planning on multi-day trips until I retire and then much longer touring pulling the Can-Am trailer. Thanks!
@d.knight60085 жыл бұрын
Ralph Keith The only reason that I went with the F3 was because I liked the sportier more aggressive look over the RT. It cost less too. Lol! The best way for me to compare them would be the F3 is like a corvette and the RT is like a Cadillac. The RT has more bells and whistles as well. For the long touring that you wanna do, I’d say go with the RT hands down for the luxury comfort. Very VERY nice machine with all kinds of built in storage compartments too.

Is this a motorcycle or scooter? Is there a kit for a back seat?
@leeridefar3 жыл бұрын
It’s not a motorcycle, scooter or car. It’s a new thing with three wheels. Yes you can get a backseat for it
@tpv592 жыл бұрын
It IS classed as a, motorcycle. FACT A trike is 1 wheel at the front, and 2 wheels at the back. Like the HD 3 wheeled trike. Regards.

Battery cable is but the tender is not unless you buy a Spyder
@speedandstyletony5 жыл бұрын
Lee RideFar - maybe the tender cable is standard in Canada but it is not in USA. However, it isn't shown in the manual for any country and the manual covers many. Also every online photo of what is under the hood that I could find shows NO cable. I still say your dealer is generous and added it.
