Bluebells at Kings Wood Challock near Ashford Kent - Bluebell Photography, i have been procrastinating with my photography for a while now , and so today i decided i needed to get out and just see what i could capture. I grabbed my gear and headed to the woodland in search of wild flowers.

Morning Lee, I think in some areas the bluebells were definitely later this year - probably because of the cold dry April we had? The ones you found eventually were certainly a good selkection and the images you got were worth a 25 mile drive for sure. A nice little shower of rain will always bring up the colour too. Lovely image at 8:56, the stump bottom left worked out well within the imae, just added that little interest to the scene. I have phases of not getting out with the camera... when I do make the effort I enjoy it just get stuck in a rut staying in - post lockdown syndrome possibly.? Enjoy your tea.. atb Al

Good advice to get information from the locals as they will usually know and hopefully willing to share...so very nice and quiet...lovely images for sure! I put things off too, just sometimes hard to get my head in the game...really it is about getting ready, as once I am out and about there is nowhere I'd rather be with my Berner, Otis...Excellent adventure!

Always a good idea to ask the locals and it definitely paid dividends to find that spot Lee. So quiet and serene and a good showing to shoot with the ambient light . Loved the first two images with the splash of green and the next with 1/3 2/3 split . I think we all procrastinate about getting out sometimes and getting our heads back in the game but as Nike say , Just Do It ! Good effort with ICM too - I always forget to have a go ! Enjoyed the wander and the bluebell carpets - nice one 👍🏻

Thanks Andrew , i did actually feel better for getting out and doing it in the end and its a nice area of the forest , one i intend to return to and explore it some more , i also need to work on my editing skills for woodland i think as i dont really have a clear idea of what i am trying to achieve at the outset as you may have seen some of the images here were processed completely differently, just trying to experiment with what works and what i like , hope you had a great break away and fully refreshed :-)

Really liked the hue of the blues in those bluebells Lee, lovely processing. And liked the ICM shots too mate. I think we all suffer from the dreaded CBA moments when getting out just seems such a mission.....and as someone who used to work late shifts and get in at similar times appreciate how much more of a mission it becomes. Nice vlog Lee, enjoyed it.

Great bit of woodland you've got there Lee. And good work sticking to the paths - I try to do that too. Nothing more annoying than finding a good composition but someone has trampled all the flowers down. Really liked the shots at 9:37 and 9:42. The ICM shots were cool too. 👍

Lovely video Lee. Looks like a wonderful time wandering through the forest, nearly had the place to yourself. You got some really nice shots out of it as well. I especially liked the vertical at 4:30 with the bit of green colour, as well as the one with the tree stump at 8:55. Nice work on the ICM shot as well, like Andrew said, I always forget to give that a try when I am out. Love your portable tea setup, that would have done me well when we visited Maine last month! Really enjoyed it mate. Hope you are doing well, keep safe!

Thanks Paul , it's a lovely wood and a fair size one , I need to explore more of it and try and improve my woodland images, I really find it difficult but I do also enjoy it. The stove is basically a jetboil knock of by highlander called fast boil I think , I keep it in the car with all the makings and a bottle of water so i always have tea and coffee in the car , you never know!

Great vid Lee I was only there on Sat just gone for the first time, I parked up in the main car park and walked to the right and north of the wood. Think I made an error as I should have gone to the left rather than the right of the Forrest. Love the shots by the way 👍🏼

Hi Grant, thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment, really appreciate it. I still get lost in the woodland, i could not find any dense patches of bluebells at first but asked a passer by who pointed me in the right direction , as you would have seen in the vlog i had to cross an open field into another section of woodland i did not know was there, i ended up closer to the smaller car park than the main one. Thanks again mate!
