It was not working for a few times and I started suspecting the comments. After that, I took a deep breath, changed the new batteries to a newer one (different brand) and removed the plug socket, re-inserted it, did as mentioned in the video. And to my surprise, it worked😲 Thanks to you man😊Lesson learnt: All we need is a little patience to sort out things😇

The red light was on my remote and the tv was tuning off after about 3 seconds, I found this video while searching for how to fix this. Turns out the button was caught under the plastic casing I used a sharp object to release it and now working! I shared this incase someone else looking for this answer

Same here, but mine works anywhere else but when watching KZbin on my smart tv, the back button doesn’t work... anymore. I have noticed that KZbin has upgraded their Desktop version of KZbin. I think that’s where the problem is at.

Thank you 😃 My problem: Remote started only working intermittently (to a point where I had to press a button multiple times before it would work). The on/off button was the most responsive during this time and the on/off button would still light up when pressing buttons. Solution: Taking the remote batteries out and unplugging the TV for ~5m and then registering the remote restored the full functionality of the remote.

OMG. You will not believe this……after months of not using my “magic remote” because it was dead & months of trying to make it work again. I just tried it again & got nothing but then took the batteries out for a minute, put them back in (they were new Duracell’s anyway) & managed to pair it up with the TV again & then it confirmed it as well! Over the moon now! What threw me was My “magic remote” does not flash 3 times to confirm pairing, so all along I thought it was not working!! Yippeeee

Thanks buddy! You saved my day. My Magic remote pointer suddenly stopped showing up and also the back key was not working. Not only this, the option to turn on wifi had disappeared from the TV menu. I browsed a lot of videos for my problem and they all suggested opening the back cover of the TV and clean up the contacts of the ribbon cable. But luckily I stumbled upon your video and it did the trick. Thanks again.

Just in case you’re looking for an LG solution to your remote power button light staying on but isn’t working no matter what you do... It’s because it got wet because my son fell asleep on the sofa and wet the bed or the sofa in this case! You should just take out the batteries and use a hair dryer on the remote for about 15 min this will dry the remote because these remotes cost $35

My remote to the b7 was acting up, they were many times it had a mind of its own and would work when it wants to. Often times the buttons wouldn't work except for the power button so ioredered a different model lg remote and it works so far

If this still doesn't work turn off your TV, unplug the TV, wait a short time, then turn back on the TV and press the ok button.

Is it the remote that came new with your TV?. If it is take the batteries out for 10-20 minutes. Then try again with new batteries.

I replaced the batteries used your technique and it worked for a couple of days. Now it hasn't been working for a week. I tried leaving the batteries out for 10 mins and trying also. I dont like this LG magic remote.. Stopped working before 1 year and not even got replaced or repaired.. Ticket not registered by LG customer service team inspite of registering complaint before warranty period..They asked for Rs. 2000 for replacement which is not worth this remote..

I just had to do this, was driving me nuts. I must have unpaired it (Home + Back...3 flashes) and repaired it half a dozen times but everytime I did the scroll wheel just didnt work after it re-paired. So I followed your advice, unpaired it > unplugged the TV > plugged it back in > powered it on (took two tries) and clicked the scroll wheel, it then re-paired and now the wheel works again :)

Everyone who cant reset remote by pressing home+back button just unplug TV and take off batteries for at least 60 seconds, then plug back TV , and put batteries to remote, you should see flashing power button 3 times, after that Press scroll button. Worked for me

I made everything like this video and many others and nothing, previously I had to factory reset the TV (which is brand new) also, the remote tried every minute to link by itself but nothing, even others devices like my headphones cannot be linked using Bluetooth, but this time I tried something different and worked. I disconnected the wifi and then unplugged the power source, after I turn it on it linked properly and then the wifi, now is perfect again, I hope it works for you if you have the same issue like me 💙🤟

unfortunately my issue was not resolved, there's a message appearing that "Bluetooth service needs to be initialized" after following the same procedure ... apparently the procedure works and it attempts to pair the remote with the tv but there must be an issue with the bluetooth function of the tv ... thanks anyway

When pairing the remote, the TV gives the error "Waiting for the Bluetooth service to start or the bluetooth service failed to start". i reset the TV twice.
