The books are mostly entertaining in a potboiler way. They’re also better at couching their right-wing talking points than any of the film adaptations seem to have been. Put some competent screenwriters in charge and you could get an enjoyable adaptation to screen.

John Nelson Darby took some verses out of context ( 1 Thessalonians, where two people stand then ones gone for example) and equates it to God just making people disappear. Sadly, a lot of mainline Christian’s think this’ll happen. I tried using the word rapture in my bible college thesis, my professor stopped me dead in my tracks and went on an hour long rant about Darby, Left Behind and it’s “theology”. Now I do the same and make fun of it lol

What I find amusing is, in terms of the whole "End of Days" event, people would rather believe that the faithful just get nothing'd off to Heaven than what I was told would happen which is that the full on Apocalypse happens, the Four Horsemen arrive, fire rains from the sky, the dead come back, and God appears to do battle with Satan. That is such a better conclusion.

I read the Left Behind prequels. They are infinitely better than the Left Behind series (although I only made it through the first 3 of those books). The prequel books are basically “The Omen” but so much more fun. Child Nikolae it’s just a fantastic psychopath. It’s a shame that the movie did not follow the books

Considering they were gonna recast everyone from the reboot and considering this took so long to get made, why not just follow the Kirk Cameron movies. That series was already three movies in and they could have just continued from there and be further ahead in the story than following the reboot which only adapted the first few chapters of the first book and set the story all the way back like come on. I even told Kevin Sorbo this on his twitter, like why make such a silly choice in direction here. He did not respond though. I do not see them even making a third movie in this new series anytime soon so to even do this seems like a waste especially if it's not adding anything to the story based on this review. A shame not one franchise revolving around the rapture could ever actually finish the damn story, A Thief in the Night, Apocalypse, and now Left Behind. They get to like the third or fourth movies and then the series just phase out on a cliffhanger. ATITN just needed maybe one or two more movies as it was very close to the end of the tribulation.

Shame how the books are actually quite entertaining, yet it seems they can't get movies that do them any sort of justice. The first couple had some decent writing and good performances (especially Gordon Currie, Holy cow), but the budget held them way back. After that... all downhill. Not at all shocked this turned out to be the story as seen through the lens of OANN/Fox News, though.

Considering the whole Left Behind series as a pre Millennial the Y2K will bring forth the End Times fearmonger book series, and I read it, all of it. Ugh, it makes it especially gouache that they've done a sequel after 2012, the other Rapture, ha. Seriously, they did not read from Daniel or Revelation much doing this series. 'No man shall know the Hour of His Glorious Return'. Ohm, so what is Left Behind? Ha. That means you can't predict or guess it. Literally, God only knows. Ha. And I am one of the few Rotten Tomatoes critics from back in the day that reviewed Left Behind 2. Ha. The Cage movie is from 2014 and it's a remake. Why? They missed the 2012 window. Ha. The other end of days.

It was a fourth movie of the book series left behind. They changed the whole story and flipped it upside down backward and forwards. They said they tweeked it to today's times. And ruined it. 3rd movie left off buck married, The 2 witnesses . And nikolai was blown up And Killed. And at the end you see him walking away from the suffering mortal wound and recovering. This one Was a huge disappointment. It just reflected back-and-forth between the 1st and 3rd movies. It was horrible and ruined the actual series of the stories written . Major disappointment.!!!!!@@@@???????
