This is Mike, the person that broke his ankle at the waterfall. Surgery with screw here in Grenada and very good care. Now is just the challenge of living on a sailboat in a cast! I still had a great day, overall, with one minor hiccup, so don’t feel bad Sierra!

Yes buy yourself some clippers. I’ve been cutting my hair for over 20 years with a $28 pair of clippers and I’ve used them hundreds of times. I normally cut my hair at least once a week probably on the outside every second week so first haircut you’re in front , I will never pay for anyone to cut my hair again, unless I’m in at third world country cost next to nothing

Using one hand, I shave all of my hair off with electric clippers. The clipper came with attachments for a minor trim.

I've been watching him for a long long time I've seen him rebuilt and sell Steamer do everything on the boat... They have rebuilt mini boats together... But she still can't give him a haircut.... Boat A/C is a requirement for the humidity as much as the temperature, I even had it on mine on the Great Lakes for that reason (plus the heat in the spring and fall). Love the videos and I look forward to new adventures ahead!

I bought 2 large mudcloth towels from Sand Cloud & they pill so bad after every wash. I had to buy a fabric shaver and shaving both sides takes forever. I personally cannot recommend their towels. They’re expensive and only look nice when they arrive.

Bummed you haven’t had a great experience! We have had these for over six months and wash them every other week and haven’t had that problem. Maybe the cycle needs to be delicate ? Our boat washing machine isn’t any where near as powerful as a normal machine. Thanks for sharing your experience!

@@Tulasendlesssummer I’m sure I did use the delicate cycle. I just keep them in my linen closet now because I don’t want to have to shave them again. Maybe it’s just the mudcloth. I just can’t imagine they use a different material for some 🤷‍♀️ I paid $100 for them & it’s been so disappointing. Im glad you’re happy with yours!

Yup, totally get it with having to take separate trips to see people. At least for now, it has been on land for us. But soon to be back to the cruising lifestyle (from many years back). This time around will be taking our whole, now family...Ok, 2 dogs and 5 cats. ;-) yes, seriously! Thanks for all the great info you have put together for dogs in the Caribbean. Oh yea. Grenada is hot. I was melting when I tried to ride a public bus with no AC. The locals were not sweating, but I was dripping. I seen you too there back in 2019 Port Louis Marina. You had the other cat and docked for a short time. I'm back in Canada now at built a small home on Manitoulin Island. This island is on the great lakes and I have easy access to the north channel. I sold my 43ft mono, and now I'm on a 24ft shark mono.

Hey guys I'm sailing in Indonesia very hot as well and my yacht Seabiscuit IV has 2x marine AC units but as you know they take quite a bit of power. I bought a Carrier 1hp split AC system as you would use in your house and it's a game changer it only draws 350 w in Eco mode so can run it all day off solar and through the night on battery.

I understand your feelings about the AC. When we are camping and at a park the AC is on non-stop, off grid not so. Is it possible to just cool the bed room or a small space, or is it the whole boat only?

Barranquilla, Santa Marta, and Cartagena are all excellent places to visit. I think they are pretty safe as long as you don't do stupid stuff.

Billie - about the solar panels: - If you want to know the power you ALWAYS have to take the actual voltage - that's much difference as you experienced. - But I wonder what voltage your system is measuring. I don't know any MPPT that can transfer voltage up. All I know is the MPPT want some 3 - 8 V more than the necessary battery voltage. So for me it is normal a "12V Panel" would show some 18V even loaded. - So I expect the shown voltage is at the exit of an MPPT. - and when you are rating that panel at 195W - you should give the doubt there were losses inside the MPPT (touch them when working - you know it). ---------- Sierra you said you did not much? the pictures of the freezer tell another story.

That's a perfect, no maintenance haircut and it's complimentary to you. Buy an electric hair cutter with a long comb adjuster on, just cut all off and do the fine trimming on the sides with your electric razor cutter. It takes about 5 minutes or so. At some time in the future when you want your bangs back, just let it grow. just try it for kicks, it's not a life defining decision.😀

The best doctor in the world is my daughter's doctor, Dr. Don Colbert in Longwood Florida. He told us to drink Penta water for back problems. Our backs are made up mostly of water. Publix has Penta water. The reason we get an injury in our backs is we are dehydrated.
