I've used Weebly and Square online for about 6 months now and we get an email notification immediately when an order is placed. I'm not sure if this is a recent update or not, but it works for our purposes of being notified when an order comes in. Also, if you have the square app open, a notification will pop up there as well when an order comes in. Hope this helps!

Sorry to hear about your experience. Weebly dropped the ball on me. They never even informed me regarding the merge with Square. After going through the messy process of registering over to Square, I have never been allowed to even gain access to my profile or account because they say I am not the authorized owner. What a joke! Square takes the money from my bank but I have no ownership or control or even access to anything involved with the Square account I was forced to merge into. I try to reach out to customer service in chat and you never really know what side you are talking to, Weebly or Square, and there is definitely noticeable division there among these clowns because they bounce you back and forth one to the other. The two companies should have had this mess cleaned up and sorted out but no I guess it’s easier to let the customer deal with it? I will be cancelling my service. @AwGAlpha2 жыл бұрын
you might not get text as they claimed but it still goes ta your email all had ta do was have your email setup on the surveys or whatever you did ta get notifications when a purchase was done. if you didn't submit your phone number in anything dealing wit Notifications but your email. all have ta do is have your phone setup ta pop up text messages from Email notifications. that's a problem solved. so your still getting the text message but not by your phone number as you would think. I know for a fact they send out emails cause 99% of the stuff is using emails ta do. if you were ta do that you'd need an email just fur getting customers so your not getting dinged by out the way emails.
@AndrewChwalik2 жыл бұрын
I did try to set it up with emails as well but there wasn’t a consistent refresh rate. Sometime we would get notifications in a minute, sometimes it would be 15 minutes. That doesn’t work for online orders because we need to know right away when an order is placed so we can start making it.
@AwGAlpha2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChwalik then I'm not sure besides keeping a survey up on there. And checking/refreshing it now and then. It's a bit more work but at least you will see them. It's also a more free route than using square especially if you didn't really want ta pay fur the website. Which you could link your own payment thing ta the button instead using the store. You have ta be in edit mode and click on the survey ta edit it then the button that shows the entries. I think there used ta be a way in dashboard ta see the survey pop up. But you definitely should get email instant fur using it. That's what I use on mi website also because you have ta pay ta do the store and they take money fur using it. I could show you what I'm talking about if you're willing ta look further into it. It's just going ta require alot more time ta edit it. Depending how you wanting ta setup it and it's more cheaper route. Especially if you use PayPal or Cash App. I believe you can still link the Square payment link ta the buttons as well. I don't use Square because I have limited money ta pay the fees if I don't meet a sertant amount so everything free fur mi.
@AwGAlpha2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChwalik that's what I'd suggest removing the Store (the thing that allows you ta sell on there & add products and categories) Use the "survey" Add the image ta the survey ask fur name of their whatever payment they using, their name, email and or address if you deliver a selection on if you're offering extra things on it or sizes and if they wanna add other items ta it. Click where they verify that they are Purchasing it and then set-up the button ta either have a message and then you create another page ta create your own reseat and add buttons fur more payment options or add your payment options that you mostly use in the button. Also if you have multiple pictures ta add which you can't add on a survey sadly. You can make a page fur people ta click on the image even where see price or name of it if choosing. Make a separate page fur the product and do a separate survey fur it. However if you were ta want ta have the button as just one payment options either you have ta do that many surveys on page or another page where it can go-to a Options ta select payment wit buttons. Either route you go your gonna be using a lot of images, Survey and Buttons wit Links. It's the cheapest route as well and especially if you use PayPal you can always drop ta a cheaper option. Instead of having the special looking PayPal button. Or can also add a Slideshow ta make your own buttons. List goes on. If want check out www.PlanetAwG.weebly.com this kinda give you an idea how.
@AwGAlpha2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChwalik actually talking ta you about it is giving mi more ideas. So tink you fur that. I might should do a tutorial on it xD ta help people figure out a cheaper and better way ta do website and way ta get notifications faster or easier...... however if it doesn't show up in email or on dashboard then you will have ta go through every survey manually which will take time but still a bit worth it. i'm a developer, and i can tell you from my perspective it objectively sucks, any way you look at it. it's slow to edit, the preview is the only way to get an accurate representation of your site, and it takes ages to load. the code is using legacy html4 and unsupported font tags. good luck getting on the first page of a google search. they use unpopuplar less files which is an unsupported technology so you're forced to write inline styles, and use !important, and in some cases it's so bad, you need to write js to fix the styles, thus creating a slow page load thus further making your site a pain in the ass for your and whoever visits. and thats just the tip of the iceberg dude.

Ever since Square purchased Weebly their customer service has gone downhill. I was using the custom html element with commands. Their html interpreter was not handling these properly so I contacted their support team, and then their top-level technical support. I provided them with screen prints showing that although the code was properly interpreted in their Preview tool, and although it looked fine when it was interpreted by other apps such as the Bluefish editor, it was not being properly handled by Weebly's interpreter. Now, this was clearly a Weebly problem, but it was met with their boilerplate "we don't work with custom code". Likewise their RSS code, on another client site, was not working properly for images that were embedded in the blog. Again, they refused to address this within their RSS interpreter, even though it works fine when I push the same blog through WordPress. So, I am migrating my clients from Weebly to WordPress.

That should be the standard. If you’re a large company like Weebly, your training should allow all your CS staff to be on the same page.
@RickAnderson14 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChwalik I agree with you theoretically but there could also be other factors at play as well. For example...a larger company also typically means a more diversified company which also means varying degrees of understanding of the English language. Andrew....I think I know what the problem is.........STICK TO AWESOME ICE CREAM AND PANINI's !..😂😂😂.... if I want a panini or ice cream, i wont go into my kitchen and try to whip one up.....i will just come to your store and buy. On a more serious note ....sorry about your experience and hope you found a solution. It however brings up a point worth discussing.. Sometimes we feel we may have the knowledge to DIY our way through life , venturing into areas we have basic knowledge about. I know nowadays with website builders , everyone thinks they can create one. . and sometimes end up underminding those who spend their lives working in that field. It is when they are faced with a problem that, the lack of depth in their knowledge becomes clear. The "die-hards' jump on youtube and end up in its dark corners with videos of cats smoking. An e-commerce site is not lego or ikea furniture. ...So I will suggest that anyone who has such a project should ask themselves, ' what is the value of the time I am going to spend trying to figure this out?"... Is it worth it ?..... If you are a start-up and money is thight , just ask a firend who is in that area...invite them for lunch and ice cream. Be transparent that you want help from them and dont make it seem like the ice-cream and panini you invited them to is "payment"... They would advise you or help you to some extent.. If you dont have any friend in IT ......hire someone in the field.. It will give you more time to focus on your core business. The person you ...hire may turn up to buy ice cream in your shop ..the next day , with money earned from you.

You have to go over it yourself wasting more time and then the website looks ugly. Payment comes up with error without no explanation. Help function is useless because it doesn't explain why payment error occurs so you can't fix it. First time users don't waste your time. Once you have a problem you will never be able to fix it.
