I think he should make a law that ENGLISH is taught in American schools so you would know when to use apostrophes. Why did you put an apostrophe in "needs" and "schools"? Do you think you insert an apostrophe into ANY word that ends in "s"? Also, you need a course in Civics so you understand that the President is not a King. CONGRESS makes laws. You might want a dictator, but that's not the form of government we have. Yes, signing statements & executive orders have been increasing since George W. They can attach rewards & punishments to implementing policies, like removing or giving Federal funding from a school system. Also, American history IS being taught. The curriculum, teachers, & school boards are the problem, not that there are no American history classes. What good is an American history class that only focuses on all the bad things that "cis white Christian men" have done to their victims (blacks, trans, & Muslims)? What we need are UNBIASED history lessons which acknowledge the failures of the past, but show the PROGRESS that has been made! These people seem to think that racism is worse in America now than it's ever been & that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's dream of a society of equals living in peace has been "discredited". If THAT's the kinds of thing kids are learning in American history classes, then hell, no, I don't want it to be mandatory. Our entire education system, from K thru post-doctorate, plus medicine & law, has been corrupted because they aren't teaching; they are indoctrinating students into this "deconstruction" Maoist cult. Islamists are just taking advantage of that ideology for their own purposes, since both want to destroy the West. IF either gets control of the country, the 2 ideological cults,- Islamists & Communists,- will turn on each other, probably violently, since both use violence & fear to get what they want now. In a deterministic approach, pride doesn't make sense in any form. I understand why pride is considered a sin by some religions. Having pride makes the assumption that YOU alone accomplished something, when in fact, it was a series of events that drove you to towards that accomplishments. Let's say you rescue someone from a fire. You would need to be within the immediate proximity of a fire, that fire needs to have people trapped inside that need saving, there would need to be circumstances that allow for YOU to have to save them over first responders, you would need to have the skills and will to get the person out without dying yourself. Do you see how a lot of coincidences need to come together for even something as humanely inherent as saving another? I'm sure we would all try but would the circumstances allow for it? Being proud of yourself for rescuing that person is ridiculous because given the circumstances and self awareness, you would know that you were never going to do anything other than save that person, it was inevitable so to speak.

I know someone who had brain damage and became a nicer person. My mom’s best friend, who was going to be a nun, decided at the last opportunity that she couldn’t make her final vows. She was in her 30’s by this time and wanted to get married and have children. Her Catholicism (she’s Protestant now) at that time made her not want to marry a divorced man, so the dating pool was kinda low. She married a guy in his 30’s who was very passive-aggressive and still very (too) close to his mommy. He had a stroke in his 50’s, so bad that it was questionable whether he would live.He became so agreeable and soft spoken that he’s more like a kid in a way. He got to where he can be left alone, run certain errands, and take care of himself physically. He couldn’t be left alone with their grandchildren when they were young, that type of thing, but so what? He’s better this way.
