Windblade has the same problem as Arcee, the base design that she's saddled with was already made with a bad transformation, so any figure that tries to base itself off that design is inherently going to have that bad transformation. And pretty much the only way to fix that is to reinvent the design with a better transformation.

I bought it thinking it was the best mainline prime we could ever have but as I owned him something felt off I couldn’t place then I watched perspective ends video on him and it clicked and now I eagerly await studio series prime or that new deluxe g1 toy prime. But I don’t align my opinions with his I just tend to agree. I still think figures he hates are great too.

I like how Windblade's design style was for the Cyberverse show. It's very expressive. As soon as news spread of a Cyberverse Windblade was coming to Legacy, I hoped that the figure would capture the same expressive energy she had on the show. Now that I have her figure, it's 50/50, and I still like it. Looking forward to more from the Cyberverse Universe, and the upcoming Slipstream.

Sadly, it seems Hasbro is also seemingly dead set on Slipstream being a different mold than Starscream and the rest of the seekers, to the point that she's coming from this mold. Especially when she apparently was gonna be based on the Siege mold for IDW 2019, then Hasbro asked for her to be based on the Cyberverse design instead.

I was expecting them to do a retooled version of cyclonus,s transformation for Windblade to make the most clean version of her possible. You know a reverse Cheetor to Tigertron in this case. Instead we get a typical Windblade that dumps the whole nose cone on the back again. It's definitely better than other version of her but they could have taken some ideas from cyclonus to make the robot and Jet mode look better.

Hinge at the bottom of the chest, flip open chest, tuck head inside, close up chest for vehicle mode, reverse for robot mode. Hinge on the back, redesign cockpit section so that part isn't unnecessarily thick, (even with how the figure's designed now its got loads of empty space in there in vehicle mode) flip open back hinge, tuck cockpit in the space the head goes in vehicle mode when going into robot as much as it can possibly fit inside. For Slipstream: Remold it so the cockpit flips down in the middle of her chest, make the tip of the nose flip up or make the cockpit section split down the middle so you can open it and flip the tip of the nose in there. *_Give her a proper seeker looking headsculpt instead of a head with a box on top of it that doesn't even go all the way to cover the head properly and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GIVE HER THE WINDBLADE TURBINE WINGS, SHES A SEEKER NOT A WINDBLADE CLONE._* I know Slipstreams already been revealed but even if the nose section idea "isn't possible with the mold" I just fixed most of the rest of their pathetic attempt at a Slipstream, the only other thing that could be improved is remold the shoulder armour into standard seeker boxy looking shoulders, poke a 5MM hole in there for the null rays and I just improved what they did for her guns. Hell if they wanna be lazy just get rid of the stupid forearm fins and put the peg for them there and she's got them on her lower arms properly instead of underslung.

About the baby face. She is meant to have a Kabuki mask, which if you look at them have often pudgy appearances. Something like an Oni mask is very bulbous to convey the glutton and power of the demon.

Honestly, I love this figure and have heard nothing but praise for it, so this is slightly refreshing. The turbines turn so they can face forwards in jet mode, though, which helps the look, and I don't see the baby face at all even with your aid... they just look nothing alike. The headfan being missing really ruins her headscultpt though, goddamn.

Dude, you are supposed to fold the shoulder pads *down* in jet mode. And regarding solidity you got a bad copy because mine is more than fine. The face is a typical geisha or noblewoman face from old Japanese prints, the main inspiration for the character's look in the first place. Also booh for losing both sword and diadem/fan, the latter is part of the Japanese noblewoman/geisha look and the figure is one of the few with Bludgeon I have that can actually use the sword two-handed. Regarding the stompy boots, they do wonders to give her more stability and you can plug in a stand just fine in robot and plane mode both in my experience.

I know what the inspiration for what Windblade's face is, problem isnt the facepaint, it's the sculpt giving her WAY too big eyes, gigantic chubby cheeks, and a tiny chin. I don't care about stability when the legs look so ugly. I can balance a fiddly figure or put it on a flight stand, I can bend the light so the legs look not hideous.

Just like the other guy who commented, yea, it’s not a good windblade but it’s still great for what it is. Considering it’s Cyberverse windblade, you can tell a lot this was made thinking about the cyberverse audience which is young kids.

I don’t know exactly why but this video made me want to get a Windblade when i didn’t before, I see its problems but in general it just looks a lot cooler and better than those promo pics showed

I'm like 22 seconds into your video and the only good thing about windblade when I got her was kind of her face, question mark. I kind of upgraded her a little bit by putting gold paint on the tip of her wings and her headdress and painting the back of the Damned the tall blades that they should have done from the factory with some gunmetal apps and I've got some glow-in-the-dark purple translucent paint that I put on her sword I guess it's a decent figure now until we get maybe a different one, it's still not good. I should have waited until my Walmart put the figures on sale for $19 like they have here recently. It was a figure I was looking forward to but now I realize I spent six extra dollars and I hate spending extra money I don't have to on disappointment. as always your servant, Warren

I like how you said question mark like I sometimes do. And personally I think the face is one of the worst aspects. Adding deco to her your self though would help. And I don't know that this thing would have been saved at 19 dollars, but she would have been less insulting.

I nabbed the "Adventure" Windblade (basically RID but with a MUCH better deco) and i still feel like it's the best one so far. This does break my heart though, as I so want a good Slipstream, but she's always a Windblade redeco or an absurdly costly Starscream redeco.

I got this one basically the week it was announced at a local store, and the tolerances are WAY better, maybe the mold is degrading extra fast? I do think she's pretty fun, but I do see the design flaws

0:40 there's also a warrior class figure. Emgo316 reviewed it a long time ago. It's the cyberverse warrior class figure is serviceable. Not perfect but good enough for what it is. I'm surprised that no one is mentioning the cyberverse warrior class figure...odd...

I saw this figure in a figure store near me that mainly deals with older figures they've got a ton of old moive figures and I'm dying to be able to afford them. Sad to see windblade get another bad figure I was really hoping this would be good. Also it was my birthday on Friday I'm officially an adult I got a laptop which I was using to create a 3d model of the fallen while watching this video I've got the fave and most of the chest done

So the head sculpt sounds more like she's the kid sister if DotM Cyberfire Bumblebee (or as the fans tend to call him, "Murderbee") with his ferocious fire red eyes. As for Windblade figures...well, crazier exists. Not better, not worse, only crazier. Fans Hobby did a Windblade that's not only a Headmaster, but a new robot mode face repaint of their Minerva. Even the Headmaster is just a straight up repaint of Minerva, but the robot mode face backpack is Windblade. Are you catchin' the crazy yet? *It's a Windblade THAT'S A CAR instead of a JET!!* This is madness on the levels of Alternators/Binaltech Grimlock (also a car). Somebody else did a proper jet Windblade, but she's stylized to where she resembles the Flame Toys model kit. I'm 90% certain that was Big Fire Bird, the folks behind Nicee (the hyper stylized Arcee)...

I picked her up from Amazon for £10 because they made a mistake on the listing price but because of Amazon's pre-order guarantee they had to keep the price for me I agree she's not great but I've always wanted her in my collection

That little blurb at the end: “Imagine if bumblebee never got a good toy”. We are kind of….close to that. Barring bayverse, cause that’s just a sin, I don’t think we’ve ever gotten a definitive, fully featured, well-articulated bumblebee (not even from third party, correct me if I’m wrong). They’ve always been either mediocre or ok at best. And this is coming from the world’s biggest bee fan.
