I love how the musical of this movie deepened the characters of Emmett and Vivian. Emmett with how they gave him more scenes with Elle and a way to show how different he is from Warner. And Vivian by seeing the slap!! So she stood up for her and encouraged her. I love it!!
@carlalussini2 жыл бұрын
And even Warner, it is more clear in it that he actually loves his life with Elle (not her because he's a narcissist) and he has not been malevolently using her but more like his parents pressure him into becoming a serious lawyer, but he would honestly would have preferred to be a rich losangelino that doesn't do shit and hangs with his pretty and bubbly girlfriend that never challenges him. It's more tragic, thinking he also wants her back (even if for unhealthy, egotistical reasons) but he's too much of a coward to let go of societal expectations.

I love this movie because it celebrates women's friendships with each other and showcases different kinds of friendships, and the main character never stoops to the level of the villains even at her most desperate (like Cady's arc in Mean Girls).
