I must say Tom Quayle is not only a fantastic guitar player, which I already knew, but also a fantastic teacher. The way he conveys his knowledge with patience, simplicity and clarity, is just phenomenal and a rare gift indeed. have to say this has really helped me. Been playing guitar for around 15 years and when i started to learn the caged system i went from playing pentatonics to playing more open scale shapes and 3 note per string stuff. i don't think i took enough time to analyse my technique and as a result my technique suffered but just hearing Tom talk about the hand forming a relaxed I've totally changed how I play and it is way more easy to rip around the neck.
@CatPickStudios5 жыл бұрын
Yep sometimes we can learn everything but the basics. It's great to have someone remind us that with few simple changes our playing can become more relaxed. After doing this video I've been placing my thumb behind the neck more intentionally and it has improved my left hand fretting a lot.
