Legend of the Double Dragon - First Public Demo Gameplay

Take a look at the first public demo of why we are all here. The demo went up for download on July 4th 2015 in Mauricio's blog. The link doesn't work anymore, but I still have it backed up in my PC so I can show it to all of you guys. I go through the dragons moves as well as weapons, glitches and some of their alternate colors. Enjoy the show!

Yeah I really hope with the release of Streets of Rage 4 people can look to more places for Really Good beat em up games including Openbor games. UDD and LOTDD should really be taken seriously.

Great job mate!! The combos are perfect!! ..Just one little thing, make sure the shadows of the opponents who come from the ceiling only show up on the floor and not on the walls (3:16)..In my code I just create the shadow in the XY range of the floor and the shadow.X position then follows horizontally the landing opponent until he lands. So basically the shadow.Y position must always stay the same since its creation (no vertical movement).. hope this helps! Cheers

Ubisoft!? lol. Technos Japan did "River City Ransom" which is the American name for the Kunio-Kun games. Arc System Works is the company that currently owns the rights to the Kunio-Kun and Double Dragon IPs. They made River City Girls a year ago. Its a decent game, but I feel their art direction doesn't stick to the original core design in the least. It just looks like modern anime, and mediocre at that. As far as Double Dragon goes, they haven't done anything with the IP except just sell a collection of old roms as a new game. But hopefully with the release and incredible success of SOR4, maybe they might try taking their next Double Dragon game (if they ever decide to make one) seriously enough to compete with it.
