as long as there is a triforce, there will be a Zelda. as long as there is a prosperous Kingdom, there will be an evil trying to destroy it as long as there is an opressive force reigning hyrule, there will be a boy in a green tunic, silver shield and magic blade to stand against them. this part always bring tears to my eyes

Zelda Conspiracy Theorists, as they became known, actually speculated as to the order of the Zelda games for years. The most commonly accepted belief was that there HAD to be 2 timelines, since some games couldn't be identified with a place in the timeline. Nintendo threw them a curve ball, when they revealed there were actually 3 timelines, all caused by the events of OOT. 🖖
@kevinfromsales94453 жыл бұрын
It was a shock to all Zelda fans. Many called it a cop-out and were angry for not being correct but in the end, I actually prefer Hyrule Historia's Timeline now lol.

I love these little documentaries. These make me make my game, with a sense, that someday I will finish it, and become successful! Being a indie developer is hard. Seeing these old games, I wonder how hard it was to make games back then!!

I love the fact of replaying a Link to the Past whenever I think about a Zelda without giving two fucks about the supposed timelines and other theories fanboys seem to need in order to enjoy a game properly. Good thing A Link To The Past aged much better than the N64 ones, which goes to show it was the superior Zelda title all along. And still is.
@Casanuda2 жыл бұрын
As a huge Zelda fan, I still prefer making up stupid, obviously inaccurate timeline theories. Link always becomes Ganon after each Zelda game, the Legend of Zelda are a series of stories told by a half-senile Link to his grandkids, and Zelda is the true villain of all Zelda games. I'm not allowed on Zelda Universe.

Majora's Mask tidbit. 😁 The developers at Nintendo wanted it to be a sequel to OOT, but we're denied. Majora's Mask was the only way they were going to be allowed to make a second Zelda game for the N64. It had to be unique (just in case it might damage OOT's reputation). Due to harsh time restraints (less than a year) and drastically lower budget, they elected to re-use much of what was already built for OOT and that played into why so much looked like it was the same, even though it was given unrelated meanings 🖖

There is only an official timeline because fools like you people forced their hand. The games were never originally designed to fit any sort of timeline. That was just rarely done at the time. So, when you complain about the timeline, know that it only exists because you are a moron.
