I’m trying to find an old super Mario world strategy guide magazine that I got years ago in a grocery store and it wasn’t Nintendo power or Game Pro. It had a grey border around the front of the magazine and was $29.99 back then. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction on where to maybe find a copy? I’ve been searching for months now!! Thanks in advance!! Oh it was for the SNES Mario World

It's probably the WORST suggestion you're likely to catch for what to do with the full Nintendo Power, but - a rotating in-store feature where people can take a minute and read through old magazines. I understand that this will inevitably cause damage to the items which is of the utmost fear to collectors, but as a store which also has some museum functions, it'd be a pretty special feature.

one of the things that baffle me about the reseller market are like SNES or Genesis games that were common as heck, **no one** cared about them, games pretty much ignored after they first came out, and now they go for $150~$250+

About a year ago I was in Missouri (small area) and I found a listing on FB for a guy selling a ps2 and the 4 dot hack games for 150. It was a really bad listing just said ps2 for 150 no games until last pic and couldn’t really make the words out (but I knew what they were)I told him I was interested and he pulled the listing down. Held them till next day and I was gonna drive out to pick them up (was about an hour each way) Long story short I got sick that evening and 5am I went to ER and was checked in for like 4 days. (Unconscious for first 48 hours on meds) I woke up to message him and he said he never heard from me. Relisted the games as he decided to keep the console and got 50 messages offering him crazy money for just the games. Needless to say they were gone 😂 worst missed shot ever!

I had a subscription to Nintendo Power for years going up. From issue 1 for probably 6-7 years. I imagine my old man tossed them a few years after I moved out. Sometimes I dig around in mom’s attic in the hopes they’re stashed there. I have 40+ consoles in my collection, but this is the thing I wished had survived. Impossible to replace

If you decide to sell the Nintendo Power set, please consider selling the set to me!! I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Let me know a price please! I started collecting a few here and there from local games stores, but they're always beat up and torn. I lost my near complete set about 10 years ago during a move. We had movers and they "accidently" lost a few boxes. I was so bummed once I realized what happened. Like you, I'm also going for the complete NES set.

So the card sells for more than the magazine with the card? I'd list the card for sale at the cards price, but keep it in the magazine. If People don't know the card came in the magazine, and can buy it cheaper like that, then maybe it will bring awareness, and will likely sell since it's listed as the card, and not the magazine. Might be able to mark it up a bit and someone will think it's worth it. Since card collectors are not magazine collectors. If that makes any sense?!

Listen. It’s hard to make that decision the weather to sell or to keep it. I’m going to tell you to keep it. And here’s why, the likelihood of you coming across a complete collection again is slim to none. Let alone having magazines that are complete and not ripped up and are in good condition. Yes, you can make a ton of money but….. if you ever want to get back into it again at a later date, the likelihood of finding some thing that complete and that will kept up is pretty much nonexistent.
