FYI = Dionne Warwick did not record the hit version of "What the World Needs Now is Love"; Jackie De Shannon did but I like Dionne's version better.

Dionne Warwick was not known as a “soulful” singer. She was a POP vocalist. Soulful would be reserved for Aretha and Gladys.

Exactly. I can understand some questioning on pop or hip hop artists but not the Queen of Rock and Roll herself 🤨

Tina Turner is the queen of rock. What do you mean it’s uncanny that she was inducted there? I get jay-z and Carole King (kinda but it’s not about just rock music, duh). Jay-Z should absolutely be there. Carole King should absolutely be there. DIONNE WARWICK SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE THERE. Not to mention the r&r hall of fame is more of a nod to “pop culture titans.” Pop acts that influenced across the wide spectrum and changed the history of music itself. So stop with the “it’s not rock and roll enough” BS. Then guess what? There’s no talking heads, no Beatles, no Aretha, no Rolling Stones, no nothing. Talking heads were too avant-garde; Beatles were too pop; Aretha was too soul; Rolling Stones were too bluesy. See? Sound ridiculous right? Exactly. Shut up. Tons have still been snubbed or taken too long like Iron Maiden and Kraftwerk, but that then confirms the fact that the hall is just a waste and a non-factor ran by talentless, no-nothing elitist bedroom nerds.

Oop not calling out Jay z 😂 but same why was he inducted?!
