To help with keeping smithing cheap you could keep battle-looted weapons that are somewhat cheap ( Under 1000) and smelt them them for materials. It helps if you take the perk that lets you get 3 charcoal from wood instead of one

Yo VMP, love you’re work and this series has prompted me to get my own play through going. Got some smithing tips for the mod just to make it a little less spenny and a little less of a grind. 1. The Lannister towns sell tribesman throwing daggers for 450 a pop and that’s a good source of iron, steel and fine steel, and the northern towns sometime sell northern axes for a steal ok about 9500, which smelt for a whopping 19 Thamaskene steel. 2. For the early levels there are sometimes a two handed pole-arm job in the first slot in towns worth 30k coins and all the parts are available from the get go. Love your work and I’ll make sure to tune into the next like stream 🎉❤❤

Hey @TheVMPshow, your series on all the Game of thrones mods are by far my favorite ones, this one is maybe the best yet! But man you gotta step up your game with the prisoner capture screen, those are some painful clicks to watch :)), like the last fight you just captured 30 deckhand scrubs and let a bunch of hight tier units walk free cuz no more space obviously. Also, did you know you can actually smelt all the weapons looted instead of selling them? it takes no time, you get a lot of smithing xp, and materials to forge later on - personally, no matter what build i pick for my MC, I always go smith on the side, its compatible with anything and it gives you soooo much xp and gold, its super OP. On the current playthrough I'm sitting at about 8million in the bank, and have unlocked ALL unique weapons already before even joining a kingdom (no cheats, realistic/hard to all options), at this point Ima just start conquering!!!

Each settlement is under a particular domain, usually a castle..... do just find the closest castle to your little hamlet that has giants and see about doing quests there...... You could also try to vassalize both the Nights Watch and The Far North, in the name of the Starks, before turning your eyes to the Riverlands (where the Starks have a good claim) and the Vale (where the Starks also have a Claim.....)

One of the Iron Islands lords has a valerian steel sword that you can take when you take them captive, and Gregor Clegane with the Lannisters has a sick 2 handed sword you can take. It drops relation by 100 when you do it tho lol

The wights should have some sort of range weapon because I was playing for an hour and a half managed to get a good bow n 3 sets of arrow I accidentally got caught out by a army of wights 270 of them n I ran around headshotting then retreating then going back in loaded with arrows again rinse n repeat had 250 bow in no time
