the fact is Pulev has a granite chin but Klitschko found a hole in Pulev defence.. In his prime, Klitschko's power rate at 93 in EA Sport, the best power rate only behind Tyson (98), Foreman (99), Lewis (95), and his older brother Vitali (94). But among that 4 boxer above, only Tyson has more rate in handspeed (99) who better than Wladimir (90). Vitali, Foreman, and Lewis, they all "only" 80+ in term of speed. I wonder Joshua if appear in EA sport he would given 95 at power rate and about 85 at speed. I give Joshua 65 rate for his chin (base on 2016 vs Whyte), but we will see what happen next.

Good highlights, because on the slow motion is seen not only the Pulev bad defense and Klitschko strikes, but something which is not mentioned by anybody. At each of the landings of Pulev Klischko used his elbow to run over and push down. There is a simple name of this - dirty play. It was ignored by many judges during the "great" Klischko era and I'm glad that it is now over!

Kubrat Pulev fought like a real man! He was there to fight not to hug the opponent. Ofcourse this 1st round knockdown was a game changer. From there he played at half of his abilities. I watched this match with shaking body. You can't imagine the amount of stress Pulev felt there. He knew that it is impossible to win by points and not because he is bad at boxing, but the judges always boost the champs points. Trust me.. Pulev's mind was not in this match. He was this close... on the biggest stage he ever been to. Also.. he gave Klitschko too much respect... it looks like he is naive and going all in like he is much better, but if you know him as a boxer and if you watched more of his matches you will know that he never looked so stressed. Pulev has a nice defense, but not vs this bigger opponents. His way of defending is by dodging the hits and counter right after. He dodges by bending backwards which won't work vs Klitschko's reach. It doesn't work vs jabs as well. He doesn't get hit by jabs very often, because he is keeping the distance but in this match he didn't keep it. He didn't know how to force KO with his style of boxing. That's why most of the people consider him being boring to watch. He keeps the distance and uses only extended hits with leading hand and closing the gap for the jabs when he feels like it. I think Klitschko knew this much better than me and he did very well, we can give him that. God.. he is skilled. In conclusion.. Pulev was getting old and he should win that night, he would hardly win this by doing the usual, tried to came up with offensive version of his style, which is bad, as you can see and the amount of stress didn't gave him time to came up with better strategy when he saw Klitschko going all in as well (this is not how Klitschko usually fights too.. this was maybe his best performance. He clearly looks much sharper than in AJ fight and not as scared). Pulev has big experience behind his back and he is strong. He deserves to fight AJ, this will probably be his last fight, so, please, don't hate on Pulev, he didn't show his best in this fight and for the next one he will not be as stressed and probably much more prepared mentally. It will surely be better fight than AJ vs Parker.
