God there’s so much they could’ve done throughout the years that would’ve made this game truly stand out for decades to come. They could have made Vanilla as large as they truly wanted, but they cut upwards of 10 raids and dungeons throughout all levels. There are zones they wanted to implement too, but it just became too much for them. Had they had the time and the resources back in the early 2000s, World of Warcraft would have been likely up to 3 times larger than it is today. Had they implemented all the ideas they wanted for cataclysm, Wrath of the Lich King would have been completely dwarfed. They wanted to add and entire underwater city to Vashj’ir that players could swim through and interact with NPCs in. There was even supposed to be an underwater raid akin to the Firelands raid, which would have concluded with a battle against the corrupted Neptulon. They set the raid up throughout the expansion, there’s references to it in the underwater dungeon where the giant squid attacks and takes over neptulon, who swims off in a fight. Also, if you swim to the bottom of Vashj’ir, there is that gigantic sea creature that you can go inside, and there’s a whole inner layer where some quests are conducted. This was supposed to be the entrance to the underwater raid. Had they implemented all their ideas for Warlords of Draenor? Wow… I can’t imagine what that expansion would’ve been like. They had fully planned out and created an island where the Laughing Skull clan was meant to reside. It would’ve been like the Timeless Isle in MoP but for WoD, and players would have gathered on the island to fight beasts and get awesome Pre-End Game raiding gear. . There’s just truly too much to go over in a KZbin comment, I feel that someone could write 1,000 pages on all the different ideas that have been scrapped since Vanilla’s launch in 2004, and what they could have done to make the game so much larger than it already was for the time. I personally really hope that when the Meta Verse is fully solidified, and High qualify VR is truly made possible, Blizzard makes this game into something we can genuinely interact with on a realistic VR scale. But hopes are not always made true.

I think they will send Anduin on that path but I think Anduins will in the end will prevail. To me Anduin has way more willpower than Arthas It takes great willpower to pick up and wield terrible power for ones people It takes even greater willpower to ignore the temptation for a easy solution Even tho Arthas picked up Frostmourne for his people in the end his willpower could not overcome the thirst for power Anduin is the type of character who would of resisted the urge to pick up Frostmourne Arthas became what he is due to partially his own will Anduin was entirely forced into the role

Arthas picked up the blade because he wanted to save his people and qoute: "I will happily bear any curse to save my people", he just didn't know what the curse would do, that it would take his soul, quote: :"that sword has taken many souls, yours was the first one it claimed".

@@grimoire3940 nah. His lore is very much spot on aside from it was Onyxia that had Varian kidnapped. Anduin got the name lion cub by his dwarf arms tudor in Ironforge before his priest training began. Likely because the symbol of Stormwind and by extension the Wrynn family has a lion's head as its crest. But in Vanilla/classic Varian was know as the Wolf.

@@wintergaming1554 no it's not. And they're right to be angry at anyone who bashes Jaina or Tyrande, or even Sylvanas. I hoped for a different arc for Sylvanas, but she's still one of the best-written female characters in a video game. Jaina is one of the coolest characters, male or female, in a video game. Tyrande is one of the best female characters of all time and all media. Blizzard has some of the best female characters in the video game industry across it's IPs: which is not so much a comment about Blizzard as it is about the rest of the industry. If Blizzard can do it, why can't other AAA studios? Saying that does not take away from how awesome Anduin is. Nor does praising the female characters in the game take away from how important Anduin, and many of the other male characters, are from a feminist perspective. WoW is the biggest MMO in the world, even if it is not what it once was. The fact that one of it's faction leaders models healthy masculinity is not at all insignificant given that this is still a male dominated genre (although even from the beginning it attracted more women than other genres due to the social aspects). The fact that Anduin is one of the most powerful characters in the Warcraft Mythos *precisely because of his emotional openness* is kind of groundbreaking.
