Play chill high elves faction over and over again. First on normal difficulty, then very hard, then straight to legendary. If you play 2-3 hours a day and watch legends previous streams of elves for 20 minutes, you'll be great in 2 months. Then do other factions on legendary. High elves are great starting race.

Getting good at campaign strategy just entails repeatedly playing the game to understand how the faction relationships play out, so you know what to expect re: friends and enemies and where to build up. Getting good at the battles mostly entails planning out how the battle is going to go before it even starts. Using heroes to scout and prepare is important. So is being aggressive. If you play too defensively, the AI will usually end up winning.

@@Milosz0pl Still better than those Dark Elves who attack your coastal settlement with a stack of 19 Dreadspears which is followed one turn later by a Black Arc with 19 Black Dragons. Same with the mid/late game von Carsteins who just recruit zombies because they're not in that settlement where they could recruit Grave Guards etc. Access to global recruitment can make a big difference, mostly for the better of the AI armies.

Yeah that's why I always try to take them out of the game first if I can. Most of the other factions and kingdoms just kind of spam shit units that look good on the auto resolves screen, but geeeeeeez Brettonia is rough if you let them grow

I can't comprehend why CA hasn't fixed the perma-debuff bug already. It seems to be such an easy fix to check all units for the debuff and deactivate it when the causing unit gets killed or flees the battlefield.

Yeah it almost seems harder to have the Debuff persist, when it's source is gone. like just have these buffs/debuffs be conditional to the unit existing on the battlefield, and continuously check for the unit.

Cavalry is the only thing that causes me to suffer in battles. I do good with positioning against everything else then large amounts of cav and all my prep work goes to shit. Doesn't help that most army comps in high diffculty is spamming ranged.

Some of his older saving your disaster battles were terribly disorganized. Every so often somebody would send in a very mixed army with several different unit types and regiment of renown. I believe one such battle was an ambush defense vs either Skaven or Alith Anar, I can't recall. Having to scramble to set up his army against a high-mobility faction, with a "dogs breakfast" army, was an absolute nightmare to micro.

Knights generally have issues with Slayers, i like to throw a bunch of them at any Knight unit unfortunate enough to come across my Dwarfs. Especially when there is a unit or two of Thunderers giving fire support as well. Saw a units of Big ´Uns Boar Boys getting SLAUGHTERED by a unit of Giant Slayers and two units of Thunderers, it almost made me sorry for them, but they were trying to wreck my Miners, so they deserved it. The Goblin archers attempted to support but my Grudge Thrower convinced them otherwise. And then there were those Blood Knights... afterwards they were bloddless.

Poor Aranessa... Living so no healing Blessed by Mathlann in the lore but can't cast any spell, not even Depth lore (!), she is the only VC LL without spells btw. Luthor have a terrorgheist, Noctilus a necrofex, Cylostra a rottin leviathan and Aranessa ? A silly crab like every other generics & admirals. Aranessa is rather squishy as well, her few plus are her throwing net which is a lower version of the light lore web, and living crews with better stats than zombies for the starts / mid campaign. She's so wasted :(

Lords who hate their faction isn't that far fetched: Arkhan is basically a Tomb King that hates the Tomb Kings and Drycha hates elves which is half the Wood Elves.

She loathes Norscans so yeah she should not be a Norscan Lord under any circumstances it makes about as much sense as Ungrim being a Greenskin Lord. Her being in the Vampire Coast is a stretch still though, it'd be nice if there was a living pirate faction made up of various mercenary units, ogre pirates, free companies, Empire & Southern Realms units and somesuch. Just need Southern Realms factions/mercenary units to be added first... As is her one human unit option stinks and has no synergy with the VC at large.

@@markymark7247 Drycha doesn't belong to Wood Elves tho, she is a Forest Spirit and hates Elves, who millennia ago joined the forest. The spirits were there, always. In the video game sense, the Forest Realm used to be called Wood Elves, but that had been fixed. Arkhan hates Tombs Kings because he is a follower of Nagash who created vampirism, which Tombs Kings hate.

In regards to the income going from 7k to 700, it actually was over 7k at the video start, dropped to -7k when you recruited the lord there. Then after the end turn was over, it was a bit over -2k, presumably losing a majority of the army that got the shanty probably is why it dropped from -7k to -2k. Then you disbanded the emergency lord, and it went up to about 700. But yes it does seem like he might have changed the campaign difficulty and then sent it in.

@@TheRavenofSin Apparently the way it was supposed to be handled was that at the beginning she use the dead reluctantly to keep up with the other pirates while still using a human crew (Sartosa free companies). As the campaign goes on and she get better and better unit, with her questline showing that she is slowly starting to get on board with Stromfels rather than following Maanan, she is slowly going off the deep end into full villainy and start using the armies of the dead to ensure her domination of the sea in the name of her new patron god. Don't have to like it or accept it, it's apparently what they tried to go for her apparently.

There is a nice little mod that gives her access to Human halberdiers and handgunners at tier 3, Dwarf cannon at tier 4, and Ogre pirates and Slayer pirates at tier 5. Enables her to run with a mostly mortal crew if one is interested, though its not optimal power. Sartosa something. Will link the mod when I get home from work. I do wish she could get a mortal captain hero as well though.

It’s just a melee animation so it doesn’t use ammo. U can make them shoot 2 feet in front of them but they actually take aoe damage from their own cannon shots. Not much but a nice attention to detail

Any technology that does "Lord Recruit Rank +X" will count ONCE (as it's supposed to) when you first recruit a lord at a settlement and then will count TWICE/DOUBLE when you recruit another lord to replace the first one (meaning you have to go into the lord's character tab and use the replace button in the lower right corner and select a new lord to replace him, like Legend did in the video) . And you also need to do it in the same turn I believe.

Dwarfs are the easiest race to kill as VC since they're all infantry and you've got Wind of Death Lizardmen however... They're like a direct counter to VC lol cuz your strengths are magic and monsters, while your magic is useless against them and their monsters are stronger than yours
