CTWC Legends features the Old School players who helped build the world championship to what it is now. The Semifinals begins with MegaRetroMan vs Josh Tolles and Buco vs Terry.
CTWC Legend Tournament was a 12-person bracket featuring players who participated in CTWC before 2019 and all players used the DAS playstyle in this event.

At the 2023 CTWC, over 100 Classic Tetris pros gathered at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo to vie for 48 seeds. Qualifying consisted of 2 hour attempts where players would try to rack up as many great scores as possible. In a 48-seed bracket, the Top 16 seeds earn a bye out of Round 0, while the bottom 32-seeds compete for a spot in Round 1.
