Warren Beatty doesn't need a star on Hollywood Boulevard to remind anyone that he's a living legend. The actor, producer and Oscar-winning director is now back in a new film, playing Howard Hughes in 1958 Hollywood, in "Rules Don't Apply." Mo Rocca sits down with Beatty, who admits he's not the easiest interview.

@Theomite 7 жыл бұрын
alex kanyima For one, it's 4 hours long. Two, it's not widely talked about in film classes because it's not a landmark. Three, because Beatty is more known for his acting work not directing work, so unless he did something that was both excellent AND groundbreaking, that kind of resume forces people to choose between one body of work over the other. The only real exception I've seen to this rule is Charles Laughton's THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, because it was championed by lots of the Nouveau Vague critics when they became famous and has been rediscovered as an unappreciated masterpiece. REDS doesn't really have many champions besides the people who watched it and recognized how good it was.

My favorite BUGSY. I love this man. James Marsden kind of reminds me of this GEORRRGEOUS thing. When it comes to Warren, I believe that He doesn't need to say much to get his point across. Presenting himself INTELLIGENTLY... YES. He is BRILLIANT. Listening to his answer about if dating a Kardashian 😅😬painful. In other words, "I have bad times, but not bad taste." I own the movie BUGSY. I love the dialogue and Annette was meant to be. Strongly recommend it. I love you Warren!

I am probably one of Beatty's biggest fans of all time. I have cheered on his films for many years. I applaud his very successful marriage to the talented & beautiful Annette Bening . One thing that really shocked me was that he doesn't have a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is most certainly a true Trailblazer of Cinema. It's so wonderful to see how much he loves his children & Annette. It would be great fun to see Warren , Annette & his sister Shirley make a film together. Love all of them.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is basically just money-making scam for Hollywood and Los Angeles. The celebrities with stars basically sponsor themselves and have to pay to have stars there. Warren Beatty probably isn't interested in such BS just to get attention.

No his best role was playing President Nixon, he was the modified "masked actor" we know as NIXON. Beatty was Nixon (WOD without a doubt) You can see it and hear it, in the Nixon full Resignation speech, the speech was not a live speech with three networks there ... it was definitely not a live speech from a guy under stress of maybe prosecution, watch the beginning at the link at the bottom he's joking around,, but watch the 3 part investigation and see how How we figured it out... Watch the playlist... to see how did they alter the voice? They used Jerry Dunphy (Concatenative Synthesis the stringing together of two voices)... the LA anchor man, Beatty used in Bullworth. (All of our NEWS ROOMS are loaded with modified shills, our news is propaganda)... He did a lot of Movies for Beatty .... 20:09 minutes in on the full resignation speech, "Prosperity, justice, and opportunity" is a normal mix of the two, there was a glitch in the concatenation at 20:10 so they had to go with 100% Dunphy voice to avoid a Concatenation glitch where the phrasing did not match... "for all of our people". (watch?v=zLHc8NR_v-8) All if our presidents have been masked Actors except Regan, and to be direct, Regan was a big shill too. Enjoy the movies because they are laughing at your ignorance, and they will take you gun rights before two long now that this information is out... It better to know what's going on than to be Dumb Blind and Brainwashed.

He's just a human being like the rest of us, he's got problems and I'm sure, made plenty of mistakes, especially with such a good looking face. Probably got him in a lot of questionable situations with women...I hate how the word "iconic" is used, all the time, about certain celebrities.....who cares about iconic, really....I guess I was interested to see if he had evolved and I'd say he has, after the loving comments about his family and wife....Good for him, got a woman who could put up with him and his good looks, and he obviously found some deeper meaning in his life.

Warren Beatty is not as well-known as he could have been, (that’s probably why his star has been overlooked??). He turned down a lot of great roles including the part of Sundance in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which would have made him more A-list. He was just too self-absorbed and would over think everything, allegedly. It’s a shame!

Beatty doesn't have to dish the dirt on former friends and lovers. His films and performances stand for themselves. He owes us nothing more. But do we owe him? Sometimes I think so, for selling him short as merely a sex symbol. It should be obvious by now to everyone, he was much more than that.
