This was an excellent, informative interactive video for kids (and parents). Thank you so much! I just shared it with a veteran with 5 young children that is getting a puppy next month. I am trying to make sure they are well prepared for their puppy.🐾😊

As a Plumber for 40 years, I have met many many dogs, and the very first thing I noticed is that they want to smell you, then they look you in the eye and expect you to come down to their level just for fun. It was amazing that when the dog(s) liked me, they felt totally at ease with me, the one who was going to use a Saws-all, to find leaks in their walls, and then use a torch to solder pipes together while not burning their house down. I find that dogs keep it simple, they only know . two things, "I love you", and "put me to work". . When the dogs weren't doing what my body language wanted a quick snap of the fingers or a touch was all they needed. When I first met new dogs, I stood up straight picked my hands up and looked out over the dogs. I would never look down and stare because that is an aggressive move. I would let them sniff me then I would squat down to their level and have a play with them. The moto of plumbing is, "we protect the health of the Nation", but the dogs are the true protectors if only we would let them be.(for a treat or two).
