Great win on the third match! I think what makes Angel of Destiny more reliable than other alternate wincons is the fact that it triggers at your end step, giving less options for opponents to react unless they have damaging instants. Nice matches!

That ending was amazing. If I'm counting right, next turn you could've given lifelink to both creatures and gain 4+4 life on 1st angel hit, 5+5 life on 2nd hit after Heliod's counter, and 2+2 from the griffin (all with lifelink + angel ability), putting you at 42 life. Assuming he would only attack you with what he had, 4 damage from QB and 1 from token, you would've been left with 37 life to win with angel. That was tight!

Plus all the life from 2 Mazemind Tomes (scry once more each on opponent's turn and then the final time once each on own turn). Factor that in and you have and additional two triggers on Heliod before combat.

It was more than a single mistake. Attacked with blockable things, played Gemrazor to kill an unnecessary enchantment so they couldn't make food... The monogreen player did absolutely everything necessary to let LVD win.

Light of Promise on the Angel of Destiny is a pretty intense pair. 2 turns and the angel can build up 20 counters on it in the right circumstance

If you go orzhov you can run the new return from the graveyard spell (the six mana one) and it's really good because it can bring back a creature AND a cleric/warrior/whatever. The angel is a cleric so you can bring back two creatures and a cleric for free.

At 24:00 could another(better?) line of play been: Instead of a second angel, play Heliod which gives lifelink to the angel and get the same result(as long as there were no blockers)? Might have been better since he would have gained 7 life even if blocked which would create a token. Still leaves mana up for drawing from tome and have Heliod in play with a bigger angel.

Hmm, I suppose you could play Angel of Destiny in the Jeskai Lukka Yorion shell too? "Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast" and Transmogrify find Angel of Destiny where they used to find Agent of Treachery. Then all the usual bounceable token makers: "The Birth of Meletis", Shatter the Sky, Elspeth Conquers Death, "Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis," Omen of the Sun, etc.

I am wondering why you missed out on Light of Promise. With this card, the Angel of Destiny just becomes freaking insane. In one game, my Angel of Destiny 256/262 and ended the game with one swing. I play Angels Deck and love to put Light of Promise on Baneslayer Angel or Angel of Destiny and as soon as I have that combo, only removal can stop me.

Hey LVD, I notice this deck doesn't have the 2 mana 1/1 Pridemate Clone exclusive to Arena, alongside things like Linden. Are MTGA exclusive cards actually not legal in standard? Perhaps these were cards in Planeswalker decks / color boosters that I don't know about?

I really dislike the fact that the new "opponent's can't gain life" has a pay cost of R attached to it. We sorely needed such a card, but keeping R for it is not good in this RAMP meta. Still, I wonder if there is a way to combine such a card with this deck.
