Hard to say. If you could finish your wave and help green hold, may be you can last longer and win? One thing though, boss 20 really punished any army that have a lot of weak units. Probably better if you focus on upgrading all of your units instead of building more non-upgraded units to prepare for 20?

Not going to lie: the biggest upset is always when the enemies have leavers around wave 7-9 as it gives extra lives to survive Boss waves. (I think the mechanic is: the team with the leaver get +1 extra King heal ~60% on AH after the wave the user leaves on.) I find it's a detriment mostly in x3 sends as it'll often come down to Round 20, rarely ever 16 or 17 will kill either side. Purple and Blue got ultra fed to survive, challenge champs, and have extra income due to Teal leaking and then leaving, and their good rolls really gave them the edge to face-tank some waves they probably shouldn't have. So after Teal left Wave 7, they had boosted wood: good for constant sends, and more income to maintain. I still haven't played enough to get it down to a science, but it wouldn't be fun without experimentation, you did great.

I underestimated that extra heal which I wasn't even aware of in the first place since that's not how it works with leavers in the other similar game I play (hellhalt)

Nah lol the bigges let down is when ppl miss their send like this guy on a crucial wave like 20 and sends everything last second. Also he could’ve gotten 20 more spectre and he would’ve hold 20. which doc doesn’t do shit this late
