Most difficult thing about collecting Achu is that, not only is he insanely expensive in just about any condition, but for a collector like me, who wants his figures to be perfect, finding his headdress with all the colored stamps lined up correctly is frickin hard. Not only are the colored layers always out of whack, but on top of that, the mirrored linework on the sides were stamped on separately, and are almost always badly lopsided. Of course, I see you've found one with successful execution. Very nice.

To be honest, at first i thought "2-4 bucks for one fig and some stone i have lying around, seems a bit much" then i remebered that there is the mini-fig-series right now. Compared to that all these sets are treasures. Thanks for showing me them.

Lego prices are insane these days. If I could go back in time as an adult, I'd buy multiple copies of every set I could find. Mint-condition Lego is quite literally gold, and not just any gold, but gold that you used to be able to get your hands on for very little.

That raft was my first ever LEGO set. I remember building it with my Mom. Sadly, most of the small parts have gone missing over the years. My Dad is an avid LEGO collector/Bricklink seller, so it was hardly my first experience with LEGO, but it was the first set that I could call my own. Thank you for reviewing it.

As much as I love the desert theme,the jungle definitely had better mini sets/poly bags. From the first one I want the raft with Johnny and the Cart (because it came with Pharoah Hotep) oh and the little plane,just for Harry. Great video as always good sir.
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I agree; I don’t own any polybag sets from the Desert subtheme, but all of them from jungle. I can see wanting the desert ones as a kid just to get the minifigures, but now as an adult who already has those minifigs from other sets, they just don’t entice me very much.

Oh, I never knew about that backpack - that's really cool! I think the first build is a little too rudimentary for my liking. The other two are nice though and all the figs are cool I think! Oh, I liked you transition from the second to the last set - very nice scripting! And I agree on the minifig for the last set - he's really cool! Thanks for sharing this and congratulations on 350 subs - great work! :-)

2:53 i have an answer for 1271, thought I left it here long ago but I'll add it in now: As a kid I remember recieving Jungle Surprise in a very unusual combo pack. Another set contained was 5900/1094 Johnny Thunder. The box was decorated in green, so it feels very Adventurers themed. Was there a 3rd set? My memory fails me. But there was another product: LEGO Rock Raiders for the PC, in a jewel case and CD artwork of the Chief close-up in full color. A full instruction manual was included as well, bursting at the seams of the plastic case cover. Now where can you find this multi-pack? I'm still searching myself. I recall this was available from KB-Toy Works in my hometown, but I have no idea if it was an exclusive there either. I have yet to see a photo resurface of this combo pack, let alone a sale listing past or present. I'd just love to find it again one day to affirm my memory.

I bought multiple of the river raft to get a bunch of the red oar, 1x6 brown bricks, 6x6 plate, clone army of Rudo Villano, and various accessories. Was definitely the polybag version - I very distinctly remember the lack of a box. I think I also bought multiples of the hidden treasure because it and the Rock Raiders set of Jet on her hover scooter were the easiest ways to add more female figures to my collection at the time. Gail was also a lot prettier than Jet and had a really nice green jacket.

In the UK or Europe, Rudo Villano is known as Max Villano. I like this minifigure especially the torso as that makes a cool gunfigter shirt similar to the one Clint Eastwood wore in High Plains Drifter. Had I picked up this set, it would have been a good way to get this guy.

I recently got Rudo and his raft off Ebay. I have a bit of fun with this little set like having the snake sticking out of the backpack so Rudo gets a nasty surprise, though I just can't seem to be able to have Rudo stand on the raft and hold the rudder properly. I like the alternative build on the box back too, it appears to be what Rudo does when he decides to bring the raft onto dry land and take a break. Though I do not get why the snake is on the clip piece in this build so I just use it as a place for Rudo to put his hat. Also since River Raft and Hidden Treasure both come with a greenish yellow gem, gives me the idea that it's the same gem and Rudo managed to get lucky and steal it.
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to look up that alternative build sounds interesting! 😎👍

Man, i watch the last episode in the playlist and suddenly a have the idea that the little raft seat with the Rudo is a continuation of the big zeppelin, and then Harry sacrificed himself and explode the zeppelin, but didn't survive, sad and epic for the sky hero

Nice video. I agree that these are far cooler than the egyptian polybags. I remember there was a Dino Island polybag set that's a microcopter with Dr. Lightning. It had an alternate built to an overhead-projector station which was a pretty cool idea.

@@TrikBrix I had two of them and they honestly arent exactly great builds. They are made out of mostly big pieces and look barebones. But the minifigs are great and for some reason i like the sets. But Power Miners is the series with the cool mining vehicles

I do line like that you decided to give an attention to this small guys, especially to 5905) Btw, I'd like to know, can we hope to get similar special episode about Dino island (like you did to Egypt sub-theme)? I think it deserve some attention, especially knowing the fact, that it was last in a trilogy (of course I do not forget about Orient expedition, but I do believe its more related to the new lego wave, while Dino island was more kd classic)
