When I was around 17 I organized the entirety of my LEGO collection, inspecting every brick for quality, partly to make building easier, partly due to OCD. Not a single age-yellowed white to be found! Everything is sorted by shape in large containers with movable dividers. I’m proud of it, but it’s still quite a space and time commitment if I want to build anything. :P

In retrospect, I think I over-sorted the pieces. Not every wheel rim needs its own compartment. XD

Love what you guys have done for the last 6 or so years now but seems like you guys are straying off a little more now, if it means anything let me just say keep working hard and pushing forward with getting the studio done, if you make the content people will watch it! This once was the Lego youtube mountaintop and I will smile one day when this channel comes back for good

I've stayed subscribed for years but hardly watch their videos because they are mostly 'news' videos or showing their mocs which can both be done via reading news articles on brickset & brothersbrick or Flickr. It's what happened to Lvlcap's channel as well - I had watched him since BF3 for his gameplay videos then he just ended up putting out 'gaming news'... which again I can just go on IGN to read the news.

They really don’t make alot of good of non their own model showcase videos anymore. Brickvault was doing soo well too on youtube, guess the webstore really took over and made enough to keep them going. (Brickvault prime 2016-2020) edit: never mind, they are back now lol

I really like your way of sorting. Finding the right color is a lot faster than finding the right part type - but it's not used very often

I can't wait to see a full tour of these new studios of yours, the organization of the bricks in each drawer is very nice, and the color sorting is not really necessary for most bricks, you need a 2X10 plate? Just go to the right drawer and choose the color that's right for you in there, nothing to it! Of course, choosing specialized pieces can take a little longer, but in all, it's well though of. And the motion sensor lights is, well, a bright idea! No need to work in the dark!

What items did you use to make this? The shelves look like they’re 9”x9” or something but I can’t find that anywhere online. Want to make something like this myself, but am having troubles finding small parts containers that will fit inside the plastic shelf sizes I’ve seen.

What software do you recommend for digital designing

stud.io all the way. It gets constant updates, the instruction maker is built-in and works pretty well, and navigation for parts works really well. I still talk to die-hard LDD folks out there, but I've been running into less and less of them lately.
