In this LEGO city update, I get the raised train back up and operational! Also, I build two massive MILS plates for the campground. One hosts the A-Frame Cabin and some nice additions, like a fire pit and a well. The other one has a large pond, a creek, and an arched bridge. Both plates are elevated above the standard MILS plate height and in my opinion... look SWEET!

A few videos ago, you mentioned not having a good story for the boat dock. If you moved it over in front of pop culture street, you could have some superhero rampage activity (evil lairs seem to always be by the boat dock) or a mystery going on for the Scooby gang. That way you would get to keep all the boat dock pieces you've worked so hard on. The trains could still run through it and then your cranes and machinery could have a part in a story like a Spidey vs Doc Ock scene.

I have decided: the natural elements in the lego city are my favorite part. The buildings look amazing but the landscaping really brings life to a display. I think that's why the mountain, zoo and the campground are my favorite areas.

Definately. Campground and beach and ninjago and zoo are the best areas. Water and trees and bridges are my favourite things to see

Can we get minifig on the track where it's by the road verses train??? I really wanna see just a funny fun exploring the Lego city from a minifigs view!!! Could we get that? Maybe for like a Sunday or Monday video? It would give us a fun vid, and you a fun day lol!

Hey Jordan, great job on the pre-build...AKA MILS prep work. The cabin looks really good with the pond, nice touch with the fire pit. I just picked up the tree house and plan on getting the cabin the next time they offer 2x VIP points. Keep up the awesome builds!

If you have any extra 1x round wood print tiles, they’d be great on the end of the pier. Love the depth of the creek - looks authentic!

I think adding/ replacing some of those green slopes for grey, brown and tan ones could give some color variations on the banks of the river and pond. Other than that looks fantastic!

The pond looks great and I like how it sort of leads your eye to the A-Frame Cabin. And I like the fire pit. Gotta have one of those. I think the bridge looks good at an angle since it allows you to see under it more, which you can't really do with the other bridge from this side view. So I think it looks good having them be positioned differently for some variety. More on the pond and creek, I was thinking of the old school flower stalks and that they might look good on the water's edge for some transition between the water dropoff and the rest of the mils plate. It could also break up the wall like feel of the brick dropping down into the baseplate. I tend think of a creek's edge or a pond also being bordered by some spindle-like grasses, and the old school flower stalk elements might do the trick. Those are skinny enough and plyable enough that they would fit down into the creek on the water's edge. And the well is awesome.

You said before you like having story elements for your city. What about having the campers at the a-frame cabin bringing their truck to the cabin and getting it stuck in the creek? You could have a tow truck trying to pull it out. It could also be fun adding muddy tire tracks in the grass leading up to the creek.

@bricktogether

Agreed. This is what I thought was the idea of the pond, to allow the river to flow easier. I'd also position the tree to incorporate the water underneath rather than change it. Good so far. With the blending I'd make the river banks and parts of the pond more gradual rather than one brick and probably make one corner of the mils plate start lower at the point of joining and gradually come up so it feels more natural. Keep it up 🙂

u cold have the lighthouse onto je corner of the table with ocean behind forming a L shape with a L shape beach with the pier going into the wall creating the illusion that the city goes beyond the basement. Also you could have the road infront of town hall go straight past the pillars and connect to the other side near the bowling ally and board walk. Additionally next to the venetian houses you could build a station in a venetian style for the raised station.

now i know you don't currently have any train stops for the trains ATM, but a thought popped into my head while watching you run them. So this is just an idea, you have discussed a walking pathway to the back wall raised platform. Why not instead have there be a train station on the wall somewhere that the train passes either through or just passes by, as one of the ways people get up there from the city proper. Then as a second idea have a multi level train station near the amusement park the connects all 3 trains into 1 station, Almost along the lines of a grand central station, Where people could easily switch between any 1 of the 3 lines.
