Not only that, but giving every character certain abilities and no dialogue made Jar Jar Binks somewhat tolerable. I agree with the thing about LEGO games being funny. But when voices were added it lost the charm. I mean Lego Batman 2 was fine, it was an original story, the others just rely on visual gags that aren't particularly charming. It was hilarious to see Indy Jones fighting nazis without anyone saying a word, now it's just the plot with death jokes. No I'm not kidding, LotR was mostly jokes at dead peoples expense. Sure they were plastic but they were still sentient and ALIVE!
@shaydystheshadowqueen95845 жыл бұрын
At least LOTR had actual movie lines that fit the story. Though harkening back to an adaptation study class I took in university, it is quite annoying how the game forces you to follow the plot instead of letting you muck about and have obi wan beat up jar jar.

TheDuckClock The only reason they added the second gamepad support "for the system" was because people complained about the "1 gamepad-only" issue. So fromthe start the support for the second pad was just Nintendo basically going "there,you happy,now fuck off while we make games that support ONLY ONE GAMEPAD". Heck,I recallthey were asked what gameswouldsupport 2 pads when they announced the second gamepad support and they basically wentmute then instantly changed the subject.

I believe that the main reason Lego city undercover didn't have local multiplayer was because the Wii u couldn't handle it without blowing a fuse and this is most apparent in the next Lego game for he Wii u, Lego Marvel Heroes. It also tries to do the open city world thing with drivable vehicles except this one attempted local multiplayer, and while entirely fine when playing solo, the second another person tries to join in, the frame rate tanks and chugs as the Wii u strains to render both players plus the city and in occasions the game has crashed if the players get too separated as the Wii u couldn't cope with having to render opposite ends of the city at once

This was because it took so long to get enough to buy any of the characters besides the ones you didn't already get or the ones you had to buy but were about as "cool" as charlie sheen is "winning". it almost broke the game for me, but the gba version had boss fights that had more than just " hit that guy a lot!". they actually had a frequent challenging quick time event thing.

To Nintendo's credit, they were originally a toy company. Well, it's now started when LEGO decided to make a Lord of the Rings video game. Since the plot was so complicated, they figured it was easier to use the voices from the films, which was quite clever. Then they made LEGO batman 2, where they thought it would be funny to make some of the greatest superheroes look like children. Though some of the gags were quite good. LEGO City undercover was kind of that moment where LEGO ended up just recycling their voice idea.

Hey, wait a goddamn minute, for people like me with one best friend, Army of Two the Devils Cartel was hours a pretty good fun. Disclaimer, it was the low point of the series by far, "What?" you gasp, "A low point in a series about PMC's being relatively nice if mislead guys, I don't believe it" The second one took it's self less seriously and made the game have some replay ability with various moral choices that you could circumvent your partners opinion on, "Kill all the Pandas you say, we got no problem with that, right Salem?" The Devils Cartel, has a twist at the start that doesn't remind you it was a thing until half way into the actual game, the protagonists are dull, and I add the S loosely seeing as you are limited to being player A and your friend is automatically player B, I can't even be the slightly fun sounding one unless I let my friend be first player, still I played the shit out of it and never deleted it off my PS3 because it's something easy enough that anyone could jump in and be like okay I get it we help each other fight in over the top gun battles and occasionally go berserk and fire an unrealistic amount of bullets out of our single shot antique buffalo rifle. Stealth is no longer a thing which would have made Yahtzee at least not want to rip his dick off about it being shoe horned in, but it was only occasionally in the second and very scripted so you knew if you fucked it up or not, and if you died you spawned only just before you began the stealth so it wasn't exactly a challenge, still it's much more of a modern action game now, which is a major let down for me because I got no end of fun out of shooting my co-op friend at the end of the second one before they even knew there was a button prompt to do so to me.

Well basically, yes, that's what happens. When somebody invents something new, it will immediately be criticised and shunned. Eventually, as more and more people adopt it, it becomes the standard. This doesn't just apply to Videogames, I think it's worth noting that the first Man to use umbrellas for protection from the rain instead of shade in the sun was laughed at and ridiculed.
@AngelSamael11 жыл бұрын
well Nintendo did distribute and make games in it's early years and gaming consoles are like toys because you buy them to have fun with. and don't worry Yahtzee, Sigureu Myamoto essentially confirmed Metroid Prime 4 and even said Retro would work on it and it's even more likely to happen if everyone takes part in the pro Metroid Prime 4 campaign on the Miiverse. and if you don't even try to help then you can't complain about any future lack of Metroid Prime 4
